I loved the first one, loved the second one even more and this looks like it could be just as entertaining and funny as the first two. I will be there opening weekend.

I found both the first and second film mildly enjoyable, but this third entry looks like garbage. The trailer made me cringe.
Only funny part:
"I think he's speaking French."
"...you're Asian! Stop humiliating yourself!"

since i enjoyed both first films i'll give this a chance, looks like it's along the same sort of lines and could be just as entertaining

You are right, that was the only funny part.

I sincerely hope that Rush Hour 3 crashes and burns at the box office, in the hopes that Chris Tucker realizes he should *maybe* try "acting" instead of holding out for an insane payday with subsequent Rush Hour sequels. The guy hasn't worked since Rush Hour 2 !?
Pay-cheque "actor".

I'll definetly rent it down the line, but it just gives me an odd vibe that its NOT the same fun entertaining movies we got with the first 2 .

Fuck this film and fuck Chris Tucker. He's not funny and he doesn't deserve to be making the money that he is. I don't think he's even starred in another film since the Rush Hour movies. I wish the series hadn't caught on so big and that New Line didn't need him to come back. He should have already been forgotten by now. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Ooh, jokes about French people, never heard any of THOSE before. Of course, they'll have to insert a mocking, macho comment about WW2. Nothing's funnier to the public than brutal Nazi occupation, apparently...

I love the first 2 films. I personally think this looks entertaining and funny. Not sure if I will see it in theatres.

I liked the first two for what they were: mindless fun; I like Chris Tucker and his "motor mouth" and Jackie Chan and his brand of action.
I laughed during the trailer so I think this will be worth checking out.

Postive reviews are starting to come in over the internet. It sounds like if you enjoyed Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2, chances are you'll enjoy Rush Hour 3. I loved the first two, so I would assume I'll be enjoying the third. Can't wait to see Chan and Tucker kick some ass and deliver some laughs!

To be fair, most comedies get slaughtered by the tomatometer, besides your select few. I think of Chuck and Larry, that got what like 15% or something, I went into it with low expectations and turned out being the 3rd funniest movie i've seen this year (only behind hot fuzz and knocked up).
I never go by the tomatometer when deciding if I'll see a comedy or not.

Well, that's all down to personal opinion.
For example, in my opinion, only bad comedies get slaughtered by the tomatometer. And also in my opinion, Chuck and Larry was one of the least funny comedies to ever make it to theaters.

Here are Rotten Tomatoes' critic rankings for all three RUSH HOUR films:
RUSH HOUR - 57%
RUSH HOUR 2 - 50%
RUSH HOUR 3 - 24%
Pretty big difference between the first two and third if you ask me.

Saw it tonight and it was just okay. It seemed a bit tired and dry. Tucker was sometimes funny sometimes annoying. chan didnt do near as many stunts as he did in the first two. I dont know, maybe I'll give it another try because I really wanted to like it. Out of the 3 its the worst.

That's not what I was implying. I said positive reviews were coming in, that were saying that if you liked the first two, you will most likely like the second. Maybe try to interpret posts the way they are supposed to be interpreted.

Caught the midnight showing, i wanted to get it out of the way to watch Stardust, and it was funnier than i thought. I had to catch it, seeing how i loved the first 2. Jackie Chan can still hold his ground as a action star, not as much as Rumble in the Bronx or Crime Story, but still pretty fun to watch. One of the downfalls, was the action sequences were pretty predictable. 6/10

yeah, true. Basically what I was trying to say is that comedies are the most subjective genre when it comes to movies, and unless you know you have the same tastes in comdies as the critics review you are reading, it's hard to gauge whether or not you will think the movie is funny.
I use rotten tomatoes alot when I'm trying to decide if I should go see a movie in the theater, wait for a rental, or not see at all. But in the case of comedies, I tend to avoid RT.
Like you said basically, it's all about personal taste. Most people (well I don't mean to speak for everyone ,at least I don't) don't go into comedies expecting a really well-made movie, I go into comedies hoping that it will put me on the floor in laughter. If it can achieve that feat I will overlook it's minor flaws.

Saw it and laughed my ass off. Chris Tucker is on the ball in this one, topping his performances in the last two. The plot is boring and the action is only so so but I still enjoyed it.

I fucking loved the climatic showdown on top of the eiffle tower. That was such a cool and exciting action scene.
Other than that, I thought it was pretty good. Some big laughs. Chan and Tucker always work really well together. Love their chemistry. Other than the eiffle tower scene, the chase in the begining of the movie is pretty good too. The other fight scene I loved was with that big guy in the classroom but that was played for laughs. And when they try and kill that one guy again.
Nothing more to say. Basically, yeah, it's more of the same of the first two. If you liked the first two, I don't see why this will be any different.
Oh, and the guy French cabbie who wants to be an american and be a spy and senselessly kill someone is pretty damn funny too.

If you have seen any of the Rush Hour films, the plot is pretty much the same as things come full circle for Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) and Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker). The few changes ,the duo heads to Paris and Carter gets a love interest the stunning Noémie Lenoir.I still had a lot of fun watching the pair fight, yell, and kick ass.
Though some scenes werent really necessary and added nothing to RH3 ,especially the french airport scene. Scale of 1-10 7 1/2

What everybody will tell you - its the same old thing, but it works, again.
The anti/hate on Chris Tucker stuff is lame to me,and I enjoy the hell out of him in pretty much everything he does. Was awesome to see him again.

Rush Hour 3 - 8/10
If you like Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2, you will like Rush Hour 3. The actions scenes are great and the Eiffel Tower scene is pretty much amazing. Tucker is on his game, and I was laughing at his lines throughout the movie. Chan kicks plenty of ass as usual and also has some very memorable funny moments. And the outtakes are just plain fucking hilarious. I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard. "Uh oh! Where's the mommy?" A very fun time at the movies with plenty of laughs and kickass action sequences.

Exactly what I was expecting it to be. Some of the jokes fell flat, as I felt like they were taken straight from an Austin Powers movie... and they went on too long with Tucker singing and directing traffic in the beginning, I chuckled at first then it just got old fast. anyways, like others said, the Eiffel Tower scene is awesome, and besides the opening and the austin power type jokes it was good. All in all, 7 bong hits out of 10.

Well toss me that digity dank because bong hits would be the only thing that saved this movie for me. I laughed a few times but to be honest with you, I dont think this movie was at all necessary. They could have easily ended the film in the 2nd movie. 2/10

Rush Hour 3 is a poor showing in the frachise; the action scenes featuring Jackie Chan are not as exciting or fun, the script and plot are an absolute joke (not the good kind), and the villain is as predictable as ever. The chemistry between Chan and Chris Tucker is still good; Tucker still delivers plenty of funny lines, and I liked the shoutouts, or cameos, from the first one (though getting the original Soo-Yung would've been even better), but these were not enough to overcome the God-awful ending, the plot holes, and just overall bad writing - whether it was the secondary characters, or the transitions from scene to scene. While the movie was still fun thanks to the two main leads, the movie's faults were all too obvious.

and sadly it wasn't, definitely the worst of the 3 films (the same as the other **** 3 films released this year). it wasn't very funny, i might have sniggered a couple of times, the action scenes were dull and it just really started falling apart towards the silly ending

I won't hide the fact that I've seen the first two and enjoyed them as pure popcorn entertainment. I won't hide the fact that I even own them on DVD too. But, in all honesty, they really should have let this franchise just go. A third one is really pushing it. Chan is getting a bit too old to be fighting and his choreography has grown predictable. And, well, Tucker is Tucker. But, I do agree that the funniest thing in the movie is from the trailer when Tucker slaps the Chinese dude speaking French.

*SPOILERS*
This movie was shite. Complete pile of garbage. I got 25 mins into it, and walked out.... The action was lame as hell, the "funny lines" were anything but funny.... I was unpleasantly reminded of how annoying Tucker's voice is.
I walked out during the part where they're in France in the Taxi cab, and the driver's speaking the truth about how violent america is, and how ignorant their wars like Viet Nam and Iraq has been. (All of which I almost started clapping out loud about) and then Tucker makes him sing the yank anthem, and even HE doesn't know the correct words.
Now that might've been funny to a grade-schooler, but I thought it was fucking lame as all hell, just abysmal writing. To quote William Regal from RAW a coupla weeks back:
"We might as well call this Roe vs. Wade, because that was an ABORTION".
Pretty much sums up my thoughts, and I KNOW I don't need to see the rest of the movie to know I'm right.
