Ed Harris, star of the Truman Show and Buffalo Soldiers, was held by police at Heathrow airport yesterday after he tried to carry a knife onto a plane. The 56-year-old actor is said to have become angry when asked to empty his pockets at a security checkpoint. After reportedly throwing his wallet to the ground in anger he was found to be carrying a lock-knife. Police held Harris for several hours, forcing him to miss his flight. He eventually flew out later in the day.

Well now, in today's society, you have to know not to carry that stuff with you onto a plane. I myself carry a weapon on my person BUT there's no way I would go somewhere with it when I know there's say:

A metal detector
A station where they're going to search people for such items

Doesn't matter if you're the biggest star in the world, you can't get on a plane strapped or packing.

Come on, Ed Harris.

Harris is an awesome actor, but he's a fucking dumbass to do something like that in the post 9/11 era...:D

that's crazy!
i carry i knife too. i also have a concealed weapon permit. and i would never try to take my blade with me to any place that's got those types of security measures.
he must of just forgot he had it on him.
