More Bad Casting

Wonder Woman Cast

Has she really? I hope not, because as of now, apparently it looks like Katie Holmes is the actress set to play that role. If Tom Cruise didn't use his Scientology powers to get her this franchise, I really don't know how this happened. And I'd imagine if he was going to use his powers for anything it would be to get himself a pinstriped space shuttle or something.

StarPulse is reporting that:

The movie’s only at the discussion state, but Katie feels this role as a kick-ass superhero will put her back in the public eye... She wants to show her stuff, and she wants to prove that she can stand on her own two feet without Tom’s help. Tom, at times, feels compelled to oversee Katie’s career, but Katie is bent on doing this alone. She actually scheduled the meeting when she knew Tom wasn’t going to be able to be there.

So there you have it. Thankfully, things are only at a discussion stage (because as much as I love Katie Holmes, I just can't see her in this role), but to be honest, Cruise is so powerful right now, I'm pretty sure if she really wanted it, Cruise could make a movie called WOMAN OF WONDER starring his wife anyway. Oh well.

I saw this on he main news feed and thought NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

while i'm not necessarily a big fan of Wonder Woman she is an interesting character and i would probably see the movie in theaters but with Holmes's acting chops i don't think she can pull off the big W. She was THE WORST part of Batman Begins so i have little faith she can pull this off.

The big thing is is she would have to put on some muscle for this role, i meen she's playing a freaking Amazon warrior princess for christ sakes. Sure Lynda Carter wasn't really buff but i chalk that up to 60's/70's TV mentality, i meen just look at what Batman was like at that time.

The only time i've seen an actress pull off the whole Warrior Woman shtick was Sandahl Bergman as Valeria in Conan the Barbarian. She was tall, muscular (for a chick) and she was still hot too (muscular chicks usually sick me out).

I really hope they find someone better for ths role cause i don't see Holmes pulling off. :mad:

Holmes is hot, but she's got a bit too much of a pudgy face to pull this off. She had better spend ALOT of time on the treadmill to get ready...:D

I don't see Katie as WW. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Jolie for the role yet...

I also heard that it may be that girl from last year's American Idol (names escapes me at the moment)..the brunette that came in second.

I know what you meen about Jolie but i don't think she has the right face for it imo. Yeah i remeber hearing about that idol chick being hopeful for it a while back too, lets hope that since that was the only thing heard about it that it won't happen :D

i dont know what it is but i hate holmes. i hate her. i dont like any part she has done which is a shame b/c she is kinda cute but fuck i hate her. i hope she is never in any movie again. ever.

I guess they figure with the stunning greatness of both Catwoman and Electra, we need another totaly miscast lead role for a powerful figure in comics.:p

I have a feeling after this hits ill still be waiting for the first good female super hero movie.:)

good idea.shame they`re not using joss wheldons screenplay as it was a young diana.they could cast her as donna troy.


but if katie holmes is wonder woman i`m burning all my wonder woman comics i won`t be able to read them i`ll have joey bloody potter stuck in my head she can`t act and she ain`t amazon looking lady plus she can`t f--king act.

i knew it had to happen sooner or later they would screw up on comic book movie casting oh well we had a nice run.

She is NO way a good choice for a Wonder Woman movie.

Katie as Wonder Woman would be a discrace to comics forever. Wonder Woman is a strong woman rolemodel, Katie Holmes has a weepy eye that goes off every time theres a sad/romantic scene. Not a good strong rolemodel for young girls.

I completely agree, but they'll never cast her. She's too old. They want a franchise, one that'll go on for years, and a younger actress would be more "suitable" for a long term franchise.

no, she's too skinny! she looks like maybe 50lbs soaking wet. she needs to beef up a little.

either way she's a terrible actress and a wrong choice for that role. i really hope they do not cast her. she was the worst part in Batman Begins and the only thing I did not like about Thank You For Smoking.

i vote for Heather Graham to die her hair black and take this role on.
