He's one of the few celebrities out there who have it right on this whole racist BS issue.

Studio 60 made me a fan. He was great on that show. Great show. Shame it was canceled.

I never hated D.L.

IMO, he's the 2nd best O.K.o.C. behind Bernie Mac. I knew he was a smart dude long before reading this, but I like him a whole lot more now. The second part of the article reminds me of a candid interview Pryor gave a few years ago; I can't remember where though.

SHIVER ME TIMBERS...

CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER IS STILL THE WORST O.K.o.C., I THINK WE ALL CAN AGREE ON THAT. :D

I liked Cedric in the movie Be Cool.

I've never hated D.L. Hughley, even though I wouldn't exactly call myself a fan of his comedy. But I have respected for a while; I've seen him on Larry King, Regis, and other talk shows where he's come off as an intelligent person. This interview was impressive also; I wasn't aware he was "under fire" for comments he made; I didn't even though he made them. But he makes a lot of good points and his comments about Al Sharpton are great.

Well done D.L.

Wait, this guy used to have a sitcom, right??

D.L. Hughley is one of the funniest men alive. If there is an heir to Pryor, he's it. Like Rich, he's brutally honest and utterly fearless. Anybody else have the balls to make jokes about Ron Goldman ten years ago? No.

He also works with a crowd as well as Pryor used to. Don't go see D.L. unless you're willing to possibly become part of the act.

DL is right on. Finally a black guy making sense about race - Chris Rock does as well

Agreed with everyone else, this just boosted up my respect for Hughley. I gotta say though, the interviewer here came off pretty hostile...

Wow. I didn't know how well spoken he was. I still believe he was lousy in The Original Kings of Comedy, though.

He's a comedian, actor, and one of the Original Kings of Comedy. He used to have his own sitcom on ABC that lasted a few seasons. He also was on "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" before it was cancelled.

i always like D.L Hughley, because his stand up was always MORE then just the typical Black ppl do this, but white ppl do it like htis.. it was actually INTELLIGENT! This interview with him was awesome, i love the way he dogs that piece of shit Al Sharpton!

And its a damn shame Studio 60 was canceled, one of my all time favorite shows.

Looking forward to his new Stand Up Special

D.L.'s always been a cool guy. I've dug his stand up for a while now. He's never been one to play by anybody's rules and I like that about him. He was miles ahead of Steve Harvey or Cedric the Entertainer on the Kings of the Comedy. Honestly, those comedians are so outdated and still cater to the stereotypical jokes that were popular in the 80's... much like how Carlos Mencia is about as "daring" as Paul Rodriguez was.

A revealing interview. The dude doing the interview comes off like a complete tool and Hughley is spot on.
A vulnerable time for black women, give me a fucking break. If all these advocates had there way we would be listening to knock knock jokes and could never poke fun at anyone. Good ol' family entertainment!
I watched an entire episode old Family Guy last night were they made fun of fat people for a half hour and it was hilarious, but I was surprised they aired this with all the pussies out there today.

I'm in full support of anything Hughley does from here on out. And to hell with all this white guilt that's been injected in so many people making them feel bad for shit they didn't do or even think let alone do.
