Synopsis: In his latest misadventure, Mr. Bean--the nearly wordless misfit who seems to be followed by a trail of pratfalls and hijinks--goes on holiday to the French Riviera and becomes ensnared in a European adventure of cinematic proportions. Tired of the dreary, wet London weather, Bean packs up his suitcase and camcorder to head to Cannes for some sun on the beach. But his trip doesn't go as smoothly as he had hoped when the bumbling Bean falls face first into a series of mishaps and fortunate coincidences, far-fetched enough to make his own avant-garde film. Wrongly thought to be both kidnapper and acclaimed filmmaker, he has some serious explaining to do after wreaking havoc across the French countryside and arriving at his vacation spot with a Romanian filmmaker's precocious son and an aspiring actress in tow. Will Bean be arrested by the gendarmes or end up winning the Palme d’Or?

it made me mostly cringe more than laugh for the first 3/4s of the movie, the scenes with both Atkinson and Dafoe were the only things that were pretty funny. i thought the end section fo the film was pretty good though

85 minutes?

Wow. I like Rowan Atkinson, but I'll be skipping this one.

Here is my review from like 4 months ago.

Mr. Bean's Holiday - 6/10

Not as good as the original TV shows, but it does follow the similar traits of those TV shows. It isn't quite as funny as the first Bean movie, but if you are a huge fan of the show, you will probably like this more than the first movie. It follows more in the British comedy, opposed to the more American comedy of the first movie. There are plenty of laughs and Rowan Atkinson is still great as Bean. Nothing will ever match the show, but this is a solid attempt at bringing the originality back. I recommend you see this if you are a Bean fan. You may be a little dissapointed, but there is no doubt you will enjoy it somewhat.

I used to catch his show on late night and I would have tears in my eyes. My wife didn't really like him. I will probably rent this one when the dvd comes out. In fact I just added it to my queue on Netflix.

Just saw it in theatres (saw a bootleg a few months ago) as I had some friends who wanted to see it. It was more enjoyable the second time and I picked up on a few new things, jokes etc. Just a good light comedy with chuckles throughout. Nothing too good, nothing too bad.
