Hey, we havea yearly haunted house at the place I work. It usually goes over very well and is pretty damn scary. This year we have many different rooms in it and 2 of which I am in charge of are the clown room and the torture room. Now, what I am in need of is some advice from you all. What good clown/torture horror movies do you recommend I watch to get ideas from. obviously "It" and "saw" and "hostel" but what else?

Theres a new Masters of Horror episode called We All Scream for Ice Cream. It sports an undead supernatural clown. Killer Klowns from Outer Space is probably your best bet to get some crazy decorating ideas.

If you design your room to be the spaceship of KKFOS, it'd be bizarre but insanely cool at the same time haha.

Even better if you can shoot people with cotton-candy turning guns.

I think the more expert fellow schmoes have got you set for scarey clown movies. As for torture, I don't know about Hostel - unless you can just keep showing just that last half-hour, since there's no torture until then. I also suggest Audition, but again, just showing the last twenty minutes. I'd use Saw II rather than Saw I, since more bodily harm goes on throughout that movie. And Saw III, as well.

Clown Movies:
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
It
Clownhouse

Torture Horror movies:
Saw 3
Hostel 1 & 2
The Audition
Last House on the Left
Wolf Creek
Ichi The Killer

Some other films I don't neccesarily consider torture horror but have torture in them:
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance
Bloody Reunion (A Slasher with some torture scenes)
Payback
Resevoir Dogs
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
The Last King of Scotland

Vulgar (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120467/)... ain't horror, but it's about a clown... and rape, that's all I'll say.

Mr Jingles (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0810743/) is a piece of SHIT... but again, a clown.

And you can't forget the most famous clown of them all...Gacey (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0330181/)

Well, I just got finished watching Ichi The Killer and all I can say is what the fuck. That was fucking retarded... I didn't know whether or not to take it seriously... a few good torture scenes, but other than that it was extremely cheasy and stupid. However, I did have to watch it in french since I couldn't find it in english. Was Ichi the guy with the scars who tortures people? Or the weird kid with the blade on his shoe that can apparently cut through anything?.... I just am not sure what I just watched.

Some old Vincent Price films have good torture devices on display. Cry of the Banshee and The Conqueror Worm are 2 examples.

While not a very good film, Mark of the Devil has some good torture scenes from what i remember.

I think Pennywise from "IT" is the end-all, be-all evil clown icon. I'd say Captain Spaulding (House of 1000 Corpses, Devil's Rejects) is gaining ground although those aren't clown movies persay.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space is one of the greatest movies ever. There's one movie I just saw called Drive Thru. It was a pretty bad yet somehow entertaining movie. It had a clown as the killer in it.

I know it's been mentioned many times but the ONLY clown film that you need is Killer Klowns. I mean, that movie is fucking hysterical! I don't understand how anyone could not love this flick.

The words good and clown and torture should not be used in a sentence unless you are pointing out that they do not belong together in a sentance.

I saw Killer Klowns. I think I would love it except I loathe clowns even more than I do Mimes.

That the Klowns did not talk made it that much worse for me.

Pssh, the ONLY clown movie you need?! KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE doesn't even exist in comparison to CLOWNHOUSE. If there is one killer clown movie anyone "needs" it's the latter.

Strangeland had a little torture in it. This has nothing to do with movies, but, if you look up the old 80's band Dangerous Toys, they had a pretty badass looking clown as sort of a mascot.
