Whoever lets their kids watch Yo Gabba Gabba is fucking insane... over my dead body will my kids ever watch this putrid shit-stain of a children's program. Same goes with Teletubbies... Jesus fucking Christ...
(have no idea what YO GABBA GABBA is? Click here...) (http://youtube.com/watch?v=_VV229DbXic)
Exactly...
Feel me, anyone? Am I all alone here? I don't have any kids yet (or, not that I'm aware of), but I sure won't ever let their brains fry watching this pile of crap. my seeds are to receive healthy doses of The Simpson's, Futurama, Ninja Turtles, Batman, and Southpark on a regular fucking basis, and their going to play soccer and T-ball like every other normal kid on this planet. Dancing in front of a TV screen? Yeah fucking right...
Fuck that noise...

So... when your kids are between the ages of 2 and 6, you're going to have them watching South Park and Futurama instead of the pure bizarre awesomeness that is Yo Gabba Gabba (created by the man behind The Aquabats)?
Ok then. Have fun fucking up your children.

Based on that video, I wouldn't let my currently non-existant kid/s watch this just on the basis that I'd be self-embarassed if they ever made me watch it with them.

The Aquabats sucked, by the way...:D
And you forgot The Simpson's, TMNT, and Batman... but whatever...
I was watching TMNT and Batman and all these other shows when I was 2 years old, as did my brothers and all of my friends... we turned out fine... And who's to say that this "children's program" shite doesn't fuck up your kids?
Have you not seen the adult version of the Barney generation?
Bunch of emo's...

The only Television show for children I would never let my kids watch if I had any is Boobah. Only because watching that show gives me, a 19 year old, nightmares.

I knew there were more reasons to hate that fucking purple dinosaur.
Here's what my kids are gonna watch: surrealist paintings. Just sit them in a room with some Dali and let them blow the kids' minds at school later by telling them the fucked up shit they see in the tile on that single file line to the bathroom. . . maybe a few teachers too,

Oh c'mon, this wasn't that bad. It's nothing like the dreaded Boobah.
However, I just kept thinking how a show like Wonder Showzen would spin something like this.

Kids that age have no idea what they are seeing.
All they care about is shiny colors and neat sounds.

I have a three year old nephew, and while I've never heard of "Yo Gabba Gabba," the kid does get into Barney and other stuff on the Disney Channel and PBS and whatever other channels that have constant kids programming. The stuff is really educational and that's why parents like their kids watching it.
If you'd rather have your kids watch South Park and The SImpsons, that's your right. But those programs have a lot of benefits for kids learning to talk, count, etc.

Sesame Street taught me some valuable information.
This show is just crap.

I'm down with Sesame Street...

After seeing Elijah Wood trying to cut a rug, I pretty much gave up on it is a viable show for children.
There aren't too many shows on TV for kids nowadays that don't involve mindless day glow colored blobs that sing catchy songs about rainy days or good bowel movements.
The Count never pushed that crap on me.
And Big Bird was always a straight shooter.
Cookie Monster had his addictions, but he was "functional", as they say, so it was okay.

I watched Pee Wee's Playhouse and I don't doubt that it fucked me up maybe just a little. Great show, though.

Those shows are intended for little children to see (ages below 6).
Of course you don't like it. If you DID like it, I'd say you had a couple of unresolved issues...
I don't like them either. I think they're crap. But the kids simply drool over them, so who are we to say otherwise? Better that than violence or video games not for those ages, don't you think?
Oh, and by the way dude, promise me that when you DO HAVE children, you won't let them see Southpark until they're at least 14 or more. That's just bad parenting...

Beyond old school cartoons like Warner Bros. (Bugs Bunny) and other select stuff (NO DISNEY) that my wife and I like - we have decided to just show our children DVD's of old Sesame Street, Electric Company, Muppet Show, etc. Stuff WE watched. Because on every level, most of the shows today for children are just awful. Besides, we want to raise a 70's loving KISS freak child.

Isn't Sesame Street still on? You guys are writing stuff as if it ended years ago. And you guys act that the target audience for these shows have the attention span of a brain surgeon. These are kids watching these shows; not even in Pre-K yet.
Plus I'd also like to mention the merchandising for these TV show characters is immense. There's a reason Barney's still around people

BIG difference between 70's Sesame Street and today's Sesame Street.

I'm going to make sure any children I'll ever have will receive healthy doses of Roald Dahl, Kenneth Grahame, Lois Lowry, Jules Verne, J.K. Rowling, and Dr. fucking Seuss.
I will not have my children watching TV in my house while their heads are cleans slates and dangerously susceptible to bullshit, consumerism and wide variables of fast food and artificial crap.

Doesnt Sesame Street now have a muppet on there with AIDS or something?

That was only for the South African version of it. As you can imagine, AIDS is a much more relevant social topic there than it is here. I have no issue with it.
