It could be just me, but i realized that this line, directed to people who disagree over a movie's quality, is just fucking stupid. I dont know if obvious, but people have different tastes, likes , and dislikes. Its not all one of the same. If a thousand people like one movie, theres gonna be at least a couple who dont like the movie. If theres a movie that everyone hates, there are people that do respect the movie. For every positives, there are some people who would think of them as negative. For every negative, there are people who look at it as positives.

Will there be that one movie that will be universally loved by everyone? (yes, Howard The Duck, im talking to you;) ). Who knows. What i do know is that we all need to live with the majority loved movies and the minority loved movies. Dont get me wrong, i dislike the movie, but i dont put the person down for not liking it. To be honest, i actually respect the person's outlook on the movie and their ability to tolerate it. I dont know, im weird.

Anyways, most of us love the good ones, most of us love the bad ones Its called taste, and everyones got a different one!:D

Now if you excuse me, im going to watch my uncut collector's edition of Gigli;)

Even if a film somehow becomes universally loved it won't last that long because there's certain type of people who can't stand being part of the majorty and will decent from the rest no matter what.

I don't understand people who use that expression either. When I hear (or read) somebody saying that, it implies to me that they don't understand that people have different opinions on movies, and other things.

This expression is right up there with "well it wasn't made for you", makes me laugh whenever i see those used, some people just can't seem to grasp that others have different opinions and tastes to them.

Well of course you're offended, it's a line spoken by those who think your taste in movies suck. It's a flat out insult; an attack on your taste.

I do it too. Only I usually prefer "We don't need viewers like you." I think it's wittier.
