Heath Ledger 'splits with Williams'

Australian actor Heath Ledger has split with his actress partner Michelle Williams, the Us Weekly website reports.
The couple who met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2005 have a daughter, Matilda, aged 23 months.
A source close to the couple was quoted in Us Weekly as saying that Ledger and Williams, who is American, "quietly and amicably split a few weeks ago".
"The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart."
"They have a beautiful daughter and they are both committed to being great parents."
Another source claimed the pair broke up because of work commitments.
"They have been filming in different locations and it has put a lot of pressure on their relationship. Heath especially is exhausted and under a lot of stress," the insider said.
There was no comment from Ledger or Williams.
