Man I hate it when people run their mouths during a movie to try and be like mystery science theater 3000, shut the fuck up and enjoy the movie dont continue to babble on with your unfunny dialog. I want you to shut the fuck up and let me enjoy the movie.

When i went to see Halloween i had a lady and her friends come in and set right behind me and my mom, at our local theater theres a thing that plays on the screen "Please dont spoil the movie by adding your own soundtrack" she said out loud "In a few minutes, im gonna be doing that". Every scene in this movie she talked about, "whats he gonna do to her?" "I hope he doesnt do nothing to the baby". ughhh

People that do that at the cinema should have their tongues ripped out.

Y'know I understand the frustration completely. It happens at just about every other movie I see (people in my city are crazy/dumb/assholes). But I think if people on these boards took more initiative in letting the jerks know you're tyring to enjoy the movie, and they're ruining the experience, there would be less rantings.

I took my nephew to see Balls of Fury the other day (booo), and these three teenagers wouldn't shut up. When the movie got loud, their voices would go higher. I was ready to cuss them out, or act just tell them to shutup, but I wanted to be a good example for the kiddo. So I just said "Guy's. C'mon." loud and firm. Enjoyed (maybe not the right word when talking about the movie) the rest of the flick teen-free.

Seriously, guys. The key to battling this atrocity is to show these people that they're being annoying and they're ruining your experience. Do it with humility and you'll see a difference.

That's why I don't go to early evening showings of movies.
I catch the first showing when hardly anyone's in the theater.
Sometimes, that doesn't even work.
If it's a popular flick, I move to a section where not too many sit.

"Rusty, doesn't that ruin the movie going experience for you?"

Why...yes, it does.
Of course, if I turn around and urinate on the comedians sitting behind me that won't shut the fuck up, not only am I wrong but I'm R. Kelly (apparently).

Solutions are few.
Some people just can't have a good time unless they're pissing off other people.

My friends and I only ever do this when we see a movie late in the run and nobody else is in the screening with us. And even then I wouldn't do it if it wasn't a movie I hadn't seen already.

Only time we've ever done it is when we were watching X-Men 3, and that sucked balls anyway. Just me and my two friends taking the piss out of the movie the whole way through- nobody else to care :D

I'd never do it if anyone else was there with us, and I'd hate it if anyone else did it to me as well.

Back in my pot-smoking days, me and my bro used to watch movies all the time and work on our material. We actually thought about recording ourselves we were so good. Woulda been called "Marijuana Cinema 3000" yeah that's the ticket...:D

However it sucks when assholes do it in the theatre...

Wow you see movies like Halloween with your mom? crazy. But yeah i hate htis too, i meen a well place comment at a single point in a movie can make the experince that much funner. like at some rediculous part in a movie some one just calls out "you gotta be kidding me" and the theater laughs, those are good times, talking throught or even in a couple parts can be quite annoying.

Back when I went to go see the movie Dodgeball, I was stuck next to this lady who must've fuckin thought she was in her living room watching this on cable because she was chatting it up and commenting on the movie endlessly. She'd say things like: "Oh I bet ______ is going to happen!" ...."See, I told you _______ was going to happen!!!" And she would laugh hysterically like an idiot. However, the odd part was when Rip Torn dies she stops completely cold and says: "THAT WASN'T FUNNY."

What an idiot.

And more recently, these were some of the genius comments from 14 year old girls during the beginning of Halloween:

"My dad is like that"

"My mom is like that"

[after the murders]

"Is this based on a true story?????"

I'd actually like to see some MST3K-like prgoram where you have idiots like this commenting on a movie. It might be kind of amusing.

"Wow, that old guy dropped his snow globe"

"Oh, wait, I think he's dead. Now the movie's about some other guy who runs a newspaper."

"Maybe it's his father."

"Yeah, maybe."

"Hey why is this is black and white? Somebody fix the screen."

"OMG Tina just texted me."

"Really, what'd she say?"

Unless they're watching Boogeyman, in which case all bets are off. God, I felt like I should've gotten my money back, and I watched it for free.

The worst is when someone makes comments on a movie as if they're making clever observations, but everything they say is basically an exact expression of the most basic sentiments that the filmmakers actually want you to have at that point in the film.

See, I got dragged into Balls of Fury. Fuck you, it was pretty funny. Anyway, there's this part featuring an old Asian guy wearing a diaper, with editing that focuses on the man and the main character's astounded reaction to this man wearing a diaper, and this one chick in the theater blurts out, pretty damn loud too, "That is wrong on so many levels!" No fucking joke- less than ten minutes later, Terry Crews is flexing his man boobs and she says the exact same thing, "That is wrong on so many levels!" Every word the same, same inflection, everything! And she was like 16. Aaaah!

As you can imagine, it was quite frustrating.

I had the same experience a couple of weeks ago. I took my kid to go see Halloween (trying to make him a horror fan early; he's 13). The theatre wasn't very packed, but there was a section of about 10 teens (4 girls, 6 guys) right across the aisle from me. Throughout the whole movie, these assholes were CONSTANTLY talking, throwing shit at each other and the screen, and playing with their GODDAMN cell phones (nothing pisses me off more). I wanted to put them in their place, but I didn't want my son to think that being an aggressive asshole was the solution either. So, any time they started acting up, I stared at them like I could see their heads on my wall. It actually worked pretty quickly; they calmed down a little bit. The sad thing was that the oldest ones were the ones being the biggest dickheads; the younger ones were pretty quiet except for constantly flipping their cell phones open and closed and texting each other.

I cant take that shit. I blow. the funny thing is I used to be patient, but recently I've been a monster when it comes to people talking in movies.

I went to go see Transformers with my dad because he wanted to see it, so we get there and it packed to the roof with people so we had to sit at the very top. Then just when the film started a couple comes in with there 2 young sons roughly 5 and 7 years of age. Since it was so packed the kids had to sit above their parents. So that means they sit right next to me. Well, aparently the older brother saw it before and was telling his little bro everything that happens before it happened. At first it didnt bother me because he was just a little kid and I've already seen once before as well. But as the movie progressed he got more and more obnoxious. He started jumping on his seat, yelling out the lines and throwing his popcorn. My dad was getting pissed and so was I. But we didnt say anything because we actually thought that the parent would decipline their child. OH NO! Of course not, they just looked at their damn brat and didnt say a word! So I couldnt take it anymore, I leaned into the fathers ear and told him to please control his kid before I got them kicked out. He shot me a look and the wife scoffed, but he told his demon spawn to be good and it actually worked so the problem was solved.

Damn irresponsible parents! i hate them!
