What are some special editions you guys hope will be made in the future. I know some times there is a false advertisement on a lot of dvds that says "special edition" and comes with a trailer and some cast information. I am talking about a 2 or more disc special edition.
Here are some I'd Like
The El Mariachi Trilogy
Equilibrium
The Terminator
The Mad Max Trilogy
probably a few more if i think some more.

Batman Begins with director commentary, deleted scenes and a gag reel. I hate how they only put gag reels on comedies but you know it happens on every set.

The X-Files Movie
The Notebook
Shrek
Shrek 2
Miss Congeniality (and not that shitty thing they called a "Deluxe Edition")
Ocean's Eleven
And when they're finally all released on DVD, I want the biggest, chuck-full-with-every-extra Harry Potter Box set you could possibly imagine, with special packaging, collectible everything, and 4-discs for each movie with the extended, special, deluxe, limited, and all out magical edition of every movie inside. And if I have to give up my first born to afford it, I will.

It seems like this topic pops up once a month...
First off, BRAVEHEART...when the fuck are we gonna get something better than barebones for this. I want a 3-Disc extended director's cut to rival the 3-Disc Gladiator.
HEAT...Yeah we have that 2-Disc already but that movie really needs a new video transfer, and I would be willing to tripple-dip to get it.
I was just thinking that STARSHIP TROOPERS could use a new edition, just for the mere fact that I have been trying to get the 2-Disc that's already out and can't find it anywhere. I think it's discontinued or something.
That's all that comes to mid right now...

LEON:THE PROFESSIONAL - ok this dvd has 3 releses so far a bare bones fullscrren that includes only a few trailers from director luc besson,Second a international version containing 23 additional min. from the international cut and isolated music score few trsilers, then the 2 disc deluxe edition wich fetured the international cut and 3 new featurettes on Jean Reno,Natalie portman, and behind the scenes. It droped the music score track.
ok I own all 3 editions on dvd love them all but what about a commentary with Jean Reno, Natalie Portman,Gary Oldman and director Luc Besson. i would like 2 or 3 commentarys. director commentary cast commentary and diretor and cast commentary.
Delted scenes those extra 24 min are not deleted thay were taken out of the US print caus it cuased isseus with US audiance with the relationship between Leon and Mathilda. There has to bee some deleted footage.
More behind the scens fottage. i want a least 2 hours of behind the scenes fottage..
this dvd must see the light of day as LEON my all time favorite film.
ANYWHERE BUT HERE - this dvd has a trailer that shows so many scenes that were not in the final cut of the film. All I want is a directors cut of the film with every scene that was shown in the trailer and a commentary along with new behind the scenes fottage. it's one of my favorite natalie portman films.
WHERE THE HEART IS. - this dvd has a trailer that shows few scenes that were not in the final cut of the film. All I want is a directors cut of the film with every scene that was shown in the trailer and a commentary along with new behind the scenes fottage.
CLOSER - This dvd has got to be the most bare bones dvd to a great film. All it has is a trailer for the film that also has so many different takes/lines, delted scenes that were not shiwn in the film. also a great music video from damien rice "the blowers daughter". We all know natalie went completly nude but removed the fottage on request I don't care about her nude all I want is include a a few commentarys, deleted scenes, behind the scenes.
3 natalie Portman films That need special editions. Im a fan of hers and need these features.

If I love a film that much I want a commentary and want a dvd loaded with tons of extras. I will sit there and watch every single feature on that disc from start to finish/from film to tv spots. i done it on so many films i love. That is one I want so bad.
For example SAW no commentary with Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith I mean 6 editions and no fucking commentary from either of them? I own all editons od SAW both UNRATED and RATED both DVD and BLUERAY. Now I finnally get one on this upcoming directors cut of SAW III.
That is probally why im named #1DVDFAN cause i love dvds.:D

Very good point. :D
It does surprise me that actors and directors don't do more DVD commentaries. You'd think it would be the perfect opportunity to talk about the movie they made, themselves (their favorite subject most of the time), and might make the viewer/listener appreciate them more. It's good marketing too.

I think commentaries are the best part of DVD's so it pisses me off that some directors refuse to do them...ahem...Spielberg!
