I am getting the Universal Frankenstein legacy DVD collection soon which includes Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, Ghost of Frankenstein, and House of Frankenstein. (Should include Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman, but thats in the Wolfman legacy collection. BULLSHIT!) And after that I want to see the Hammer Frankenstein series, but do not know what all the Hammer Frankenstein movies are, or what order they are in can someone please tell me? Also, when you tell me could you tell me which ones are the best and which are worse? Thanks.

EDIT: Is there a DVD set of the Hammer Frankenstein series?

Some of Hammers Frankenstien films.

Curse of Frankenstein-The first one. Christopher Lee as the monster and Peter Cushing as the doctor. Its the closest Hammer Frankenstien to the original story. Lee and Cushing are great as usual. I have seen this cheap on a double dvd with Horror of Dracula.

Frankenstein Created Woman- I have it but havent watched it yet. Peter Cushing as the doctor again. Its available on a Hammer double feature DVD with The Legend of 7 Golden Vampires.

Frankenstein must be destroyed- The 5th film of the series. Its entertaining but not that great. Peter Cushing again.

Evil of Frankenstein- Cushing and his assistant find the original monster encased in ice. I have it but haven't watched yet. Its available in the Hammer Horror Series dvd set.

Revenge of Frankenstien- I dont have it and haven't seen it. I dont think its available on dvd. I believe David Prowse (Darth Vader) plays the monster.

Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell- The doctor is in a sanatarium. I saw it twice and didnt like it. I forget what its all about. The last Cushing Frankenstien film.

There is a few more. I never saw a Hammer DVD set with just the Frankie films.

Don't forget 'The Horror of Frankenstein' which came out in 1970. This is the only Hammer Frankenstein film that didn't star Peter Cushing as Baron Von Frankenstein. That role is played instead by Ralph Bates who does a pretty good job in the role. A little slow moving at times, this is a decent entry, and would have been superb if Cushing had been involved somehow - even if only as a voiceover.

As for finding these titles, I have found most on e-bay pretty easily and at a reasonable price. Most can be had for under $15 a pop (including S&H) if you look hard enough.
