*sighs* This is the kind of good news that just kind of settles a person. Exhale. The cover is great. Life is good tonight.

THOSE FUCKING ASSHOLES.
Goddammit, that is so annoying. Not only did I buy the film already, but I got it at Wal-Mart so it came with the bonus disc. I figured I wouldn't wait for a double dip, since one never came for Shaun of the Dead (despite both getting 2-disc releases overseas).
But fuck, how can I possibly pass that beauty up? I can't. There's no questioning it. I might as well just bend over now and let them go to town.

Good thing I didn't pick up the first edition. Wow, talk about a nice deluxe package and presentation.

Fourth time I'll be double dipping for a movie, and only the second time I really felt like it was worth it. (The first was for Clerks.) Bitchin' cover art, but I wish I would have known about this before I picked up the single-disc edition. I guess I'll just give my old copy to one of my friends for Christmas or something.

This dam well better be released over here in Blightyland (R2) - I was *this close* to picking up the standard 2-disc (R2) Hot Fuzz next week, thankfully I spotted the previous thread, and so held off.

I'll be getting this no doubt and on the day of release. I agree, they should do the same for Shaun of the Dead.

Since I only care about lots of commentaries, I got the overseas 2 discer. In fact, I'm going to start watching it RIGHT NOW. Thanks for this thread! :D

everyone is talking about how this is some awesome cover art, so not only did they fuck the people who bought the one disk special feature wise they also fucked them cover art wise (because the 1 disker had some shit cover art with some billboard like ads hey were a movie bullshit)
That's some nice box art. I wonder how they are going to package the movie. Individual sleeves for each disc, a fold out containing all three...I really can't wait for this! Seriously, this has been an awesome 10 minutes for two reasons:
a) Live Free Die Hard: Unrated is the Directors Cut (Rated R version)
b) A 3 disc collectors edition of Hot Fuzz
Anyone have any idea about price? I would say about $30

I feel the same way.
The news of this 3-disc CE for Hot Fuzz is surprising, only because Shaun of the Dead didn't receive the same DVD treatment. I'm pissed that I purchased the first edition, but there's no way I can walk into my local Best Buy after its release and just leave it sitting on top of the DVD shelf.
This is a must-buy, a must-have.

I agree, I wish Shaun got a 3 discer...but maybe if this does well, we'll see one.

I loved this movie but I don't own it on DVD. But I know for a fact that I will be buying this when it comes out.

I just saw it last night and it was pretty damn good. Maybe I'll get it once my financial situation gets better.

A lot of these features are on the Wal-Mart bonus disc. So, this does nothing for me.

I'm still holding out for a Shaun 3 disk... they've gotta release a mondo version of their GOOD movie sometime... right?
Yea... hated Hot Fuzz... waste of $30.

Same here. This is a definite pickup and I'm really suprised (but oh so happy) that this is getting a release of this magnitude. Best comedy of the year along with Superbad.
