Why won't he die already?

He's this weird little drug addict who looks like Gollum who for reasons beyond rational thought, has a fan base.

I guess that makes him the Michael Vick of the music world. Oh wait, Michael Vick was actually good at his profession. Nevermind.

Last night the RSPCA said of the kitten picture: “It is hard to launch an investigation into possible abuse from just a photograph. There needs to be more evidence.”

Ok, from reading this quote does anyone else think these people are just REALLY fucking incompetant? The kitten in the picture had a fucking crack pipe put to his lips with the owner right fucking there. Goddamn, even Doherty is better at his profession than these lazy assholes.

You have to remember that this cat has to live with Pete Doherty.

I think taking copious amounts of crack is beneficial, like a painkiller.

This cat's accidentally ingested more blow, painkillers, tranquilizers, crack, smack, and whack than Downey Jr. and Keith Richards combined.

Poor thing.

I don't know who Pete Doherty is, but THAT is Jack Wild as the Artful Dodger in Oliver!. He died last year.

^That picture is minters^

Unlike most people here, I quite like Pete as a musician...he also comes across as a thoroughly endearing and intelligent chap when on the telebox.

But getting his cat all smacked up out of it's tits...well, it's not exactly the behaviour of a sane man is it?

I did find the whole thing rather amusing when I read it in the daily rag yesterday...especially the quote from his friend about how the cat thinks it can fly when off it's face. Um, don't all kittys think they can fly? He really isn't fit to own an animal though...and I don't see any reason why the RSPCA can't investigate and remove the animals if these allegations are indeed true.

I can't see why he's avoided prison after being caught many times with multiple class a drugs and once even he was in possession and driving a car with no tax or insurance.

Oh you!

He's not half as shit as Lily Allen and I distinctly remember you liking that Mockney munter at one point. And he is very clever you swine.

My cat is currently sporting an Elizabethan ruff, I suppose this in itself is tantamount to abuse. He looks dapper though.

She has a sweet voice and that new track with Common ain't too bad either. I don't know much else about her, but that's my two cents

Would it be better or the same if he blew pot smoke into his cat's face instead?

I really do hope Pete Doherty dies. Not because I hate him and his music (which I do), but as a mercy kind of thing. It's really pathetic to watch him on T.V. stumbling around and making a complete ass of himself while he gives crack to his pets and begs for his supermodel ex-girlfriend to take him back.

Well, I don't think the cat would be trying to fly if it was pot smoke.

Personally I still rather hope he manages to get clean.

It's clips like these that make you realise just how cheeky and likeable he once was.

I hardly think wishing death on him is of any use.

Pete is a pretty good musician. I really dug the Libertines a lot. However, the guy is such a fuckup.

Speaking of giving drugs to their pets, I have ACCIDENTLY gotten my cat high a couple of times. When my friends and I were having smoking sessions, the smoke in the room got the little cat really high. He seemed to like it though.:D

I like that clip. Plus I don't think he's without talent (quite the opposite). I do think that the drugs have been detrimental to his creative nous. I'm actually anxiously awaiting his new album. While I thought that Down In Albion was deeply flawed (and in no way worthy of the praise those NME idiots laid upon it) it did nonetheless contain moments of brilliance that left me optimistic as to what he might be able to achieve in the future.

But giving a cat a shot on a crack pipe is fucking stupid.

I'm not wishing death on him, I'm just saying that I feel really bad for the guy and his physical/mental decline is just sad to watch. I really don't think you can clean guys like Doherty up.

I think Doherty's death would benefit the cat's recovery from crack addiction, so I support him killing himself.

Yeah but that was more down to the readers I think. They did give the album 7/10 and put it at #9 in their Top 50 albums of 2005 list.

Are we seriously arguing the merits of NME? Didn't they say Panic! at the Disco was the best new band last year? Yeah, I'd rather read anything from the elitist Pitchfork than NME.

If he ever does die it will probably be from that strung out freaking cat. What the hell, man? Maybe we should chip in and get him a pet tiger.
