Yeah, even though it looks cool they do deaths like that in a bunch of the movies.
Sometimes it works. Sometimes it dazzles. Other times ("Halloween 2"), it bombs. But hey, if it weren't for the coolness factor, then it probably wouldn't hold the same effect.
I mean, I cannot forget that shot, when Michael is standing right in front of the guy, in the wide-shot, enjoying is work. The coolness abades the disturbance. It's one of the most brilliant deaths ever, simple, but effective, and lasting.
