FALL OUT BOY... I'm not a huge fan at all. I think the lead singer is hard to understand. That is not what this is about.

This is about Pete Wendt and everyone being on his cock! He gets the majority of the press and attention. All the ladies swoon over him. And I don't get why! Maybe it's just me, but guys who wear make-up... Um... Nope. Don't see the big deal!

And I have a similar problem with Evanescence. I love them. But all they seem to show is Amy Lee. And same with when No Doubt was around. They're not the only members of the fuckin' group! Damn!

It's strange, but, it seems like with every new generation, whether it be the Glam bands of the 80's or the Emo bands of the 2000's, it seems girls have been finding more and more ways to be attracted to guys who look like chicks. I'll never understand it myself.

Maybe many girls are just closet lesbians or something. :p ;)

The entire band looks like rejects from the special Olympics, but the others get eternal respect from me from keeping their mouths shut the point to where I never have to hear about them, that weird-looking troll who's their lead babbler/crooner needs to shut the fuck up though. And by shut the fuck up I mean relieve us of his presence. And by relieve us of his presence I mean jump off a bridge.

Pete Wentz is the kind of musician who spends more time making faces and winks in the mirror to see which ones the girls will like most rather than actually practicing and writing.

If there is justice in this world, the members of Fall Out Boy will end up in the same retirement home as Air Supply, Hanson, and every other shitty band that sold a million records but subsequently disappeared into obscurity.

No, if there is justice in the world, Fall Out Boy would have never existed.

On the other hand, we need bands like Fall Out Boy to remind us just how great AC/DC is.

The deed has already been done. We cannot change the past and make Fall Out Boy nonexistent. However, we can change the future and make them irrelevant.

Isn't that true of almost every pop band our there? The lead singer always gets the most attention (which is why they usually go solo). They're the ones that are featured prominently in the music videos, the most marketable, etc.

That's how it works.
These companies feel its too hard for the average fan to memorize everyone's name and it cheaper to just put one person (usually hot like Gwen or Amy) up front and drive them into your cerebral cortex.

I believe Pete Wentz is the guitarist or bassist, not the lead singer. The lead singer is that chubby little dude with the huge sideburns.

They all piss me off in that band. Except for the drummer.

Don't mind Fall Out Boy one bit. Average pop-punk band that doesn't make me want to put my head through a wall every time I hear their music.

And emo jokes only work when the bands your talking about are actually emo.

Evanescence is a band that could just fuck off, though.

I'm lucky I don't listen to the radio or watch MTV at all because I think I may have heard only 1 Fall Out Boy song and I hated it.

I definitely hear you there. Way too many girls are into guys that look like...well, girls. You know its a sad world when a chick gets offended by body hair of all things(rather stupid and immature)but thats a different rant alltogether.

Fall out boy is one of the crappiest mainstream bands out, and that is saying ALOT seeing as pretty much every new mainstream band sucks balls.

This is why I don't listen to any rock artists who got their start after i was born (1985). IMO, rock music began to descend afterwards, and new talent (that can actually be listened to) is virtually nonexistent. Thankfully, older artists (Springsteen and Young are my favorites) are still making some good songs, and of course, there's always classic rock.:D

Count me in on the hate fest. I'm sick and tired of bands these days trying to come off as "rock" music. I feel the term's pretty much dead at this point since it's obvious the only thing these guys can rock is a generation of idiots who never have taken the time to do anything other than watch TV or go on myspace.

I maybe young, but I feel as if I was born in the wrong time and place. I can't relate to hardly anybody my age because I'm old fashioned with my thinking and tastes... I can't help but to like people who actually make music instead of posing around like super models.

I truly believe my generation has been programmed through years of abusing TV and not using their brains to see through the bullshit the mainstream media's been trying to sell us.

Come on, bands like My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte and these douche bags never should have made it past their incredibly lame following. It's a shame that a musician like Elliott Smith never got his due. He was a talented songwriter who went too early and even if you don't like him, you can't say the man didn't have great skill at singing, guitar and composing a song. I'll take that heroine addict over any of these little pricks.

Another thing, there's not enough of these mainstream musicians taking drugs! Maybe if they got high once in a while, they'd realize how shitty their music is. After the Beatles smoked pot and tried LSD, they got ten times better as a band, so maybe it'd work for some of these guys. Or maybe somebody needs to just give em rat poison, tell them it's good China and then let their brains get fried so they won't make music anymore. :)

Damn kids and their music.

I'm 23 and I agree with that. In my opinion, no band nowadays can compare to, for example, The Who.

ah but tahts the thing, kids these days aren't interested in what THEY like they are only interested in what OTHERS like, otherwise how would they fit in?

What the really sad part is is that with enough advertising and ppl telling the kids that music like Fall Out Boy is good they will eventually believe them and that will become the popular thing and therefor it becomes for front in the curent trends of things and ppl like us have to deal with it.

It's like Disco, no one since that period of time thinks the fashon was anyhting good, but they did at the time and you know why? cause everyone else did it cause they were told by someone else its cool.

Let's just come to the conclusion that all these new punk-rock wannabe bands who don't drink or smoke cigarettes or do drugs but look like girls and wear more makeup than the average road whore all, without question, blow dick.

I don't have a set type, but the occasional sexually ambiguous man is quite intriguing indeed.

But if it's in overload, then it gets suffocating and the river runs dry so to speak. I can't offer an explanation as to why the gals go for that sort of man because no two women are the same, the same as it is with men *I suppose*. The best way I can explain this attraction, I GUESS, is the reason why you blokes love lesbians even though there is no hope in Hell they'd let you join the fun in reality.

Actually I don't think it was so much because someone told them it was cool, it was because there wasn't any other choice.

I've seen pictures of me as a little kid from that time and when I jokingly give my mom shit about dressing me like that she'll tell me, "That's what was being sold at the time. They didn't have the selection back then that they have now."

Like bell bottoms. If you wore jeans back then, you pretty much wore bell bottoms. You didn't have all the different leg cuts that are currently available.

That's why I said "pretty much".

Bell bottoms were largely out of style shortly after the start of the 80's. They were mainly a 70's staple until, for some reason, they resurfaced in the 90's.

I found it hard to believe, too. I never cared for the look of bell bottoms and even asked my brother (who graduated in '74) why everybody wore them and he also said, "Man, that was it! You couldn't hardly find anything else!"

I absolutey hated FOB with a passion. Then in May my girlfriend kind of made me go with her to a concert of theirs on her birthday near St. Louis.
I'm still not a huge fan, but I was really impressed by the show they put on. Nothing to write home about, but my tolerance for them increased about 10%.
The fact that the concert also had the band who performed Snakes on A Plane may have helped a little.
