It is pretty good. I saw it already in theatres and don't think I'll be buying it. If you haven't seen it before I would recommend at least renting. It's definitely worth seeing at least once. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

1408 = PG-13 horror done right. There's only 1 fuck, but at least it's Samuel L Jackson who says it.

I think its a good rental. To warrant a purchase, I have to want to watch it minimum 5 or 6 times.
I have to want to memorize lines from it.
Show it to my friends and family. Is this that type of movie? For me no.
But do watch it and decide for yourself. Its better than many of Kings novels made movies.

It's worth a rental, but definately not a purchase. I can't believe anybody would want to watch more than the first half hour more than once! The classic witty banter between CUSACK and JACKSON is the best scene by far. :(

I would rent it. It is a very good film, but the re-watch value isn't all that great.

Loved it! Extremely better than the gore saturated movies they seem to make these days which equals boring to me. If you like gore, this isn't it....

No I think that there is a backlash against all of the gore.
I predict we will be seeing more of this PG horror.
Hopefully it will all be as thrilling and well written.

it was quite the horror movie. Cusak was really the one man show and did really good job at.

Hopefully it will all be as thrilling and well written. It's strange, Freddy/Jason/Michael was my fav with all the stuff they did gore wise and I still love them. But todays gore stuff makes the movie stupid to me. Not sure why. I'll stick with my 80's/90's horror and stuff like 1408.
P.S. Hated the Black Christmas remake....
