I picked up this DVD last year and was wondering what others thought of it. I believe it was a pilot for a tv show that never got picked up - a co-production between Hammer Films and Columbia Pictures (Screen Gems). It kind of plays out like a tv show (lacking the visual sweep of the movies) but still has the atmosphere of some of the best Universal monster movies. Anton Diffring does fairly well at playing the mad doctor Frankenstein (no Peter Cushing, obviously, but he holds his own), and the monster make-up is pretty creepy (if not an outright rip-off of Universal's design). It's pretty easy to find if you haven't seen it, and cheap too. I think I paid a few bucks for it in a bargain bin. It's a good one to throw on during a Halloween party if you want to kill a half an hour. Anyone else seen this?

As you say Zing, worth watching for a few bucks ( or quid )
It seems like a step back for Hammer at the time and it certainly wasn't up to their usual standard but I've seen far worse.
