I'm disappointed with it. I wanted them to include The Burning's original theatrical trailer(s). That's the only Special Feature I wanted and it's not there.

Fangoria.com's review of this DVD says a still gallery and the original theatrical trailer is included! Yet the back of the box cover I have makes no mention of this. Can anyone shed some light?

For about $9-$10, you can't really complain, can you?

I haven't bought this myself yet but every review i've read of this has a photo gallery and trailer listed with the extras.

They say nothing about what's on the box but that they're included on the disc.

So your saying the trailer is on the disc in spite of not being listed as a Special Feature on the back of the box cover?

I hope this clears things up:
I bought The Burning back on Sept.11th. I examined the box cover front and back and noticed MGM didn't mention that the Theatrical Trailer was included. Thusly I decided to ask here 'cause: I knew I wouldn't be able to watch it till Sat., I didn't want to wait till then to find out, and I thought some knowledgeable person here might know the answer to my question.
P.S.
For future reference, I prefer straight answers to my questions. Or else I may appearantly "obsess" over the issue till I get one.

Thank-you.
Why on earth did you buy yourself a copy Christian? I didn't know you were the type of person who'd buy a copy of such a movie.

Have you seen what's in my massive collection? :)
Yeah usually I would have gotten a copy for free, but I bought that and Scarecrows at Future Shop (while shopping for a new plasma TV). They were advertised "2 for $20", so can't complain.
The Burning was surprisingly ok.I'm still chuckling Jason Alexander was in it. Scarecrows on the other hand, not so good.
P.S. Martin - several people told you the trailer was on the DVD yet you continue asking...

I actually watched both the other night and I actually loved both. Nice, campy fun. As for Scarecrows, I don't know, but I enjoyed it a lot. For some reason, and I may be alone on this, but I saw a very VAGUE resemblance to the opening sequence of the original Resident Evil video game (minus the dogs). I'm not sure what it was...maybe plane landing/going down, a field, and military/special ops connection. And a lot of the dialogue was kinda cheesy and not very well acted wlhich only made me see the (slight) connection a little more. Not sure why, but it crossed my mind.

I had heard about this movie for years and got it the day it came out on DVD. Yeah, the extras are a little scarce, but the Tom Savini docu on it regarding his career in special effects makes it worthwhile by itself.
And yes, there is a trailer.:D
