When I saw the recap of last weekends box-office totals with the headline "wake me up when september ends" kinda urked me.

It really shows how people acknowledge a good film by how much money it makes...if the movies aren't making money or people aren't going to them, then they must be bad! What a shame!

To me September is a great month for film releases, and the films being released this month have a HELL of a lot more substance then half the trash that was put out over the summer. Take a look at the line-up for September (granted some are limited releases but still):

Shoot Em Up
3:10 to Yuma
The Brave One
Silk
Eastern Promises
In the Valley of Elah
The Assassination of Jesse James
Into the Wild
The Kingdom
The Darjeeling Limited

and even Resient Evil and Mr. Woodcock (which look descent)...so tell me what is wrong with September?!

If Joblo thinks September is slow then they really outta look ahead to October...not that month is a SLEEPER!

Or am I the only one that think Sept. is a descent month for films, and prefer most of those films to the overhyped, overbudgeted crap like Pirates or Spidey 3.

You make a good point. Unfortunately, these days, if people enjoy a movie, it justifies all the film's problems. Truthfully, it doesn't.
