You’ll never guess who’ll be doing battle with the giant snake this time? None other than ‘The Hoff’!

bucket please

Yep, David Hasselhoff’s on River-Watch for the Don E. FauntLeRoy (“Urban Justice”; cinematographer on "Jeepers Creepers 2") directed sequels – both filming back to back.

He’s joined by Crystal Allen (“Maid in Manhattan”), John Rhys Davies (“Lord of the Rings”) and Zoltan Butuc (“Funny Money”), reports Moviehole.net.

Ol’ fluffy chest plays a mercenary-for-hire who accepts a mission from a billionaire to capture a dangerous snake that could possibly help cure a terminal illness. I assume the rest of the bunch play, well, food?

A few months ago I heard about these straight to DVD’s sequels but the one thing that hasn’t been reported is who Hasselhoff beat for the part.

He’s played Iceman, the Saint and even Batman. Yep, that’s right, Val Kilmer got beat by David “I’m huge in Germany” Hasselhoff.

I really don’t get why Iceman wanted to wrestle a giant snake but the man has always had a reputation of not being a nice guy on the set.

Funny thing is that a few years ago he co-starred in a film with Robert Downey Jr. in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Downey gets Iron Man and Kilmer doesn’t get past the audition stage on Anaconda 3 and 4. That’s Hollywood!

WHICH I`VE POSTED HERE.
Sony have commissioned a further two sequels to Luis Llosa's “Anaconda” – sans the original’s all-star cast. You’ll never guess who’ll be doing battle with the giant snake this time?

The films – the first being titled “Anaconda 3 : The Offspring” - will be shot in – of course – Romania. It’s planned that they’ll premiere on the Sci Fi Channel before hitting DVD.

Ah, who says The Hoff’s over?

not me but val kilmers careers sure as shit is.

Kilmer Doesn't need this role He's way better than HasselHoof one thing that I know is that these movies will suck because they are going to be premiered On Sci-Fi Channel. Even if Kilmer Got the Part do we really need 2 more Huge Snake movies part one wasn't even that good its so sad remember in the past when movies had to be good to warrant a sequel.

No actually, it was a theatrical release and it made $33 million domestically and $71 million worldwide at the box-office which is OK. It had a 26% rating over at RT, which is not good at all really, but it is better than a lot of movies like it.

I thought it was an OK movie, it was pretty entertaining and better than the first Anaconda. There is no need for another sequel though, no need at all.

Ah my mistake, could've sworn it was STV over here but apparently had a cinema release, shows how much attention I paid to it at the time :p.

Rather enjoyed both films for what they were, will probably end up watching these if there's nothing else on tv.
