Hopefully it`ll get shelved for eternity and never gets released. I heard it sucks beyond belief.....I mean like Uwe Boll suckage.

Depending on the budget, they may just release it direct to DVD. It has "of the Dead" in the name, so people would buy/rent it at least

Strictly going by the preview I saw this movie looked like pure garbage. Aside from Contagium (if you ACTUALLY consider that part of the series...) this is the only entry that I have considered skipping out on. I may watch it for a laugh but then again I said the same thing about Captivity and... well... never mind, I don't want to think about that any more. Yeah they have remade it. Mena Suvari, Ving Rhames (although playing a different role than he did in the Dawn remake) and Nick Cannon. I shit you not. Nick fucking Cannon. Supposedly there is even a character who is a vegetarian and when he gets turned into a zombie he still refuses to eat meat. All I have to say is ??? I just watched the trailer on youtube. It looks pretty awful. Its also dumb that it isnt a seqeul to the Dawn remake. It looks more like The Crazies or 28 Weeks Later. I still hate the running zombies thing too.

From what I've read on the net (so it may not be true) they had some test screenings of it and everyone hated it. It'll probably be STD, people are bound to pay to rent/buy it.

By the looks of the trailer. Day and Dawn are not connected in anyway. It looks like Day of the Dead is its own film. Kind of like how Savini's Night remake has no connection with the Dawn remake.

i wold see this movie if i didn't have to pay for it. the director is the guy from H2O, a passable halloween movie and ving rhames is the man. why the fuck is nick cannon in this though???

I wish I could share your upbeat attitude towards the film. Steve Miner also directed FRIDAY THE 13th Part 2 and 3, both of which I LOVED. However I still can't get excited about Day of the Dead. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I don't really care for this flick, if i see it around for hire, i'll be checking it simply for it zombie factor and because its supposedly worse then someone regurgitating in your beer and still drinking it...

It was an incredibly odd film but it's glorious and I consider it an insult to my backside that they would even consider re-casting Captain Rhodes, Joe Pilato was GOLD in that role and Ving does have the sand for it...I hope the film is lost in a fire.

That's the original Day of the Dead, so not really.

I also saw the trailer for this... hell, ages ago... and can confirm that it looked like pure shit. Obviously, they cranked it out fast after Snyder's Dawn of the Dead (which I enjoyed) performed so well. It even has generic shlockmeister Steve Miner (Friday the 13th 2 and 3, Halloween H20) directing.

Joe Sun, you hit the nail on the head. It must suck A LOT if it has been delayed this long. And I was sort of curious after seeing Rhames was playing a different role from Dawn, too. I think that might throw some people off.
