Can anyone help me out?

In the trailer Southland Tales I'm looking for the name of the song and artist that begins to play when the title card comes up "From the Creater of Donnie Darko." Sounds like the Pixies, but not sure.

I believe it's a very slowed version of "Waves of Mutilation" by the Pixies. I don't know of any CD that that version is on

You're right. It's "Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf)" by the Pixies. It's a version of "Wave of Mutilation" off of their album Doolittle. This version was also used in Pump Up The Volume and was the video single for the movie's soundtrack.

The song as also used in the movie Pump Up The Volume with Christian Slater. Great film btw!
