Please list films that are VERY much like No Country For Old Men. Excellent cinematography, sun baked/semi-desert/"Western" genre location, oozing coolness, violent, vintage or gritty production design, set in modern times not the 1800's for example, and gunfire.

My 2 cents:

~Blood Simple

~The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada

White Sand with Willem Dafoe. I haven't seen NCFOM, but it sounds similiar-ish.

I haven't seen No Country, so I don't know why I'm posting this. But more people should see Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia. May be similar, maybe not so much. Alfredo is similar to The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada though.

I loved No Country for Old Men. Now one of my all time faves. I have to say there is nothing quite like it.

Here are the best I can think of though, because I know how you feel. I WANT MORE NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN!

Hannibal (not Silence of the Lambs)
Chopper
Road to Perdition
Bangkok Dangerous

Shit, not a whole lot.

Fargo
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia
One False Move
Tremors (sort of a stretch)
Sling Blade

I'll argue that Once Upon a Time in the West is incredibly similar in terms of the villains presence and complete show-stealing amazingness.

There aren't any films similar to this. It has a genre entirely on it's own, in my opinion. One of the top 5 bests of 2007.
