I think Superstar is totally genius, personally. Every element is right on the money, man and despite having always loved The Carpenters, I didn't know anything about this story since it was a bit before my time. To me this is a movie that's is a gimmick, but rises above the gimmick to just be a cool movie. Yeah, it's under 50 minutes, but still I think it's great filmmaking.
This unfortunately has been my only Haynes film and I've only seen that compressed version. We were meant to go see a screening of I'm Not There where some of the people involved were there for a Q&A, but had to give up our passes cause something came up. So thanks for conjuring up those bad feelings. Damn man. I was having a good day too. :D

Superstar's all over the net and apparently, yes its genius. I will be watching it probably tomorrow, along with Safe. I'll also check out some of the other stuff on that site. thanks for the link man!
As for I'm Not There. That sucks about the passes, I'd be fuckin livid if that happened. But the only thing that could stop me from it at this point would
A) My mother's death
B) John Lennon being resurrected from the grave for one night concert
C) Exchange tickets for There Will Be Blood.
I really can't get either film out of my head, as I watched both back to back. Both were extremely involving.
Haynes is cinema.

Didn't know it was so widely circulated. I'm actually removing the link after reading up on the legal problems on the film, so anyone can just google it anyway.

I voted for Safe, but you can't miss with anything of his. Far From Heaven and Velvet Goldmine are just stellar, too.
