I really love this man, i think he's one of the best young filmmakers around. He really has a staple on Americana. I love George Washington and Undertow.

That being said I just purchased All the Real Girls and plan on watching it tonight. What do you guys think is his best work so far?

I absolutely love All the Real Girls -- his best film, sandwiched between a very good debut (GW) and a disappointment (Undertow).

Good topic. I think on the strength of just George Washington he's the most talented director to emerge in the 21st century. I'm very curious to see what he does with The Pineapple Express, a real branching out for him.

1.) George Washington -10/10
2.) Undertow -8/10
3.) All The Real Girls -7/10

checked out All the Real Girls last night. Astounding picture. I'd rank it right up there with George Washngton. The Pineapplr Express looks to be very different, i'm surprised he is handling other written material, much less material from Seth Rogen. It'll be interesting to see how that unfolds.

I've only seen All the Real Girls (4/5) and Undertow (4/5) but the former would defintiely be my favourite.

I loved "George Washington," I really liked "All the Real Girls," and I liked "Undertow." Can't wait to see "Snow Angels" when it finally gets a theatrical release.

I thought Undertow was shockingly pedestrian and essentially a really dull version of Night of The Hunter.

Snow Angels was very good though.

I went to the same film school as DGG (North Carolina School of the Arts). I even met him a few times. Anyway, my vote is for All the Real Girls -- it's one of the most genuinely honest films about young love.

no shit?!? Thats pretty awesome. I go to MICA and he came in for a Q&A during a George Washington screening. Pretty interesting guy. Very inspirational.
