Saw II and Saw III were released on DVD in January as well. It has nothing to do with if the movie is shit or not. So stop hating for the sake of hating.

I own Saw II and Saw III, I am hating because the movies are pretty much shit after the first 2. I only bought III because I had the first 2 and I got it in a 2 fo $20 with the Descent (a much better horror movie). the series is done, it is absolute shit now, time to move on.

Haven't seen it and won't buy it blind. Just glad to know when it'll be available to rent. Then I'll see about buying it. I have the others, but if IV isn't good enough, I'm not that much of a completist that I have to have it for my collection.

But if its in R1 format, there is also the Decadence version. Therefore ALL is not ALL at all.

is this version really any different from the theatrical release?

isnt the target exclusive the EXACT DVD released, just it comes with The Ninth Gate??

what is the point of buying all of these??!! No disrespect.. if you got $$ like that... rock on dude... but fuck me man! I can see Double DIpping when a new 2-3 disc set is released.. but to buy 5 copies of the same version of the same movie, seems a lil extravagant?!

Its just a fascination getting all version for SAW (quadrilogy for now) in Region1 format.. done it with Evil Dead.. and I found SAW as the champ for multiple version released in R1

I picked it up ealier this week. I liked it about as much as I liked the rest of them. The SAW movies have been pretty consistent in quality from each one to the next, which is rare for a horror franchise that goes on for more than 3 movies.

or do you buy multiples of every flick?!

how big is your collection (if i may pry)!

Do you double dip on all movies (that interest you) or is it strictly a Saw/ Evil Dead thing?!

(im sure you get questions like these all the time! I even saw on DVD Talk, there was a link to the Saw 4 DVD announcement on DVD Active, where some guy made the name Xage Sucks or some shit and was bashing you cuz you buy all these.. which seemed stupid, but people get jealous of others i guess)!!

Lastly.. can i get some of that money that you are spending???!! It would seem you have alot!! (JK.. unless you are like Bill Gates or Richard Branson and want to send me some money, that'd be super)!!

I really have nothing against it really, or jealous or whatnot as my collection is on the large side as well. I just think people can't help themselves but to step in his shoes and think they could benefit a lot more if they owned about 45 DVDs of 45 DIFFERENT films, rather than 45 DVDs of 4 different films. More power to him I guess, but I can't begin to comprehend how one could do that or necessarily why. And trust me, I'm a completist at heart (just look at my Criterion Collection), but I even draw the line when it comes to my collection of Criterions, if a DVD gets re-released, and I don't own the original already, I won't bother even going back as the new version is superior.

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks I guess.

I always wait until October to pick up the second release, which is always stronger. This'll be no different.
