This is basically one reason why Trent Reznor is one of the coolest fucking musicians out there. There is NO ONE else doing this. For hip hop fans you can also remix some of Saul Williams tracks as well. This shit is just insane.

This is pretty fucking insane and awesome. I know Universal is threatening to sue Trent over it.

Oh, that's right. And you have to certify that the remix you post is one that you did. I guess this is being watched pretty closely.
Downloaded the raw tracks of "Vessel" last night, and I'm working on my mix in Pro Tools..amazing to see how he pieces this stuff together.

Where can I get a full version of that. All the programs I've got won't recognize the files.

What programs are you using? Most DAW editors should be able to load .WAV files.
I don't know where to get a full version to download. You usually have to buy one of their interfaces and it comes bundled. I would check for a torrent..

Managed to sign up on it, seems they don't like hotmail accounts , downloaded all the files and had a little play around with them, very interesting seeing the tracks like this. It's going to be fun having a go at my own mixes.

I used Ableton Live that CAME with the DVD with all the multitracks and it still didnt work. Audacity, Easy Audio Editor, nothing reads the files.

^ Weird--I got the remix CD/DVD myself yestarday (which I have to say is pretty fucking awesome, and a great deal), and I see that the Ableton stuff has it's own 'package' for each song that should load. I don't think Live will take the straight .Wavs, but I don't use it much. It could be that the Live Lite version they package with it, which is basically a demo, won't load all of the dozen and a half stereo master tracks for each song, which really weighed down my old-ass Pro Tools LE version (which is like 6.1).
