Pretty boring and pointless really, though it was nice seeing my old friend Chris Denham (Violinist) getting some work...:D

It's always interesting to see how filmmaking style has changed. Kind of reminds me of some of the more melodramatic scenes in BBC mystery shows, with heavy background music and long takes with little or no dialogue. And yes, the nod to "The Birds" was a brilliant bit.

Anyway, it's always fun to watch Martin Scorsese, he's such a neurotic and obsessive character.

This seemed interesting, until I realised that it was a Advert!!!

Why Scorsese Why?

That was pretty incredible. He perfectly emulated Hitchcock's style.

I loved how the opera intentionally matched the diegetic action...brilliant as always.

So yeah...nothing too too special here...but the last shot was simultaneously hilarious and brilliant.

Nice, this made me forget I was at work for six minutes! He really did "get" Hitchcock's style. Very cool short film. Who cares if it was an advertisement, it's Scorsese... he can do as he pleases. It's not like this is him "selling out."

Is it just me or does this feel like Marty selling out?

You guys are joking right...? Take a look at this:

Anyway, I really love the short: Marty is hilarious, the whole backstory is really imaginative, and he really just absolutely NAILS Hitchcock's style, it's just perfect. How amazing is it that a director can make something so brilliant out of a short, half-serious advertisement? Just proves the kind of genius Scorsese is.

Banky was just kidding... he was going off what I said right before.

Guess you missed the ;). But this short still rules.

Wow, that ;) is really hiding down there, isn't it? Yeah, missed that :P Still though, Marty is no stranger to commercial work. Neither are the most awesome of the awesome: Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Michael Mann, Michel Gondry, The Finch - hell, even Terry Gilliam.
