I always keep my movie ticket stubs from really great movies. I don't know why exactly, they're no good anymore and they just sit around in my purse.
Does anyone else keep their movie ticket stubs too? How far back does your oldest movie ticket stub go? And what movie is it for?

I kept all my stubs from about 2002-2004, then I sort of fell out of interest with movies for a few years, then got back into it and starting keeping all my stubs again. They're in a little box. The oldest one I have is for John Q, from 2002.

I have a shoebox mostly full. The majority of them are from mid-to-late 90s. They are mostly just kept for sentimental value.

Yeah I've got a load of ticket stubs, I used to keep them in an envelope but now they're all over the place. I'm not sure what the oldest one is though, I'm pretty sure there's one from Beethoven, so at least '92. I've got no idea how I still have a lot of these since I was rather young at the time.

guess ill the be the first one to say ive never kept a ticket stub of a movie. i guess i just dont really see a point to it. keeping memory of the film in my head is good enough for me.

I do collect but they are scattered throughout my room and even in the rest of the house for some.
I use to have ticket stubs dated back to 1994 for Stargate and Star Trek: Generations. But those got lost a long time ago.
Not sure what my oldest is now.

Yep. Sometimes they get thrown out because I carry the food, while someone else takes my ticket and then they just throw it away. Usually I keep it though. Have no idea why. I think my oldest is South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut. I was proud the day I saw that at 9 or 10 years old.

Oh I definitely do.
I used to tack them to a cork wall over my desk for a while, but I guess it got too full...now I keep them taped inside a scrapbook, along with other movie stuff like lists of the Oscar Nominees you get from those free magazines, and any articles I find interesting.
The oldest ticket I probably have is from The Talented Mr. Ripley. I don't even care how good the movie is, I will keep it anyway. I still have a ticket for Beauty Shop, which I saw with my ex, haha.

I use to keep them all, but they have gone to the thermal paper for the tickets nowdays so all it takes is like 6 months and you can't read the ticket anymore. All my old school tickets that were actual tickets I still have, my oldest is X-Men from 2000.

I keep all of them in my Kill Bill cigar box, hanging by a chain on my doorknob. It's getting to the point where there's no more room left in that, so I'll have to find something a little more spacey.
I think the oldest one I've found was from Congo ('95).

Starting next year, I've thought about keeping all of em.

They stay in my wallet for a while, but then eventually get thrown out. I remember a kid in high school had a binder with all his movie tickets on the cover sleeve, but they were all mostly shitty movies I didn't care for.

Every damn one of them, ever since 1990 when they were still just stubs and had no text on them. The oldest ticket I have with the title actually printed on it is New Jack City.

I have kept all my ticket stubs. I keep them all in a couple old shoe boxes. My oldest ticket stubs are Batman and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the summer of 1989, when I was eight-years-old.

Yes, I only keep the ones that I buy on DVD, keeping them in the DVD case.
The oldest one I have is Dumb and Dumber from January 1995.

My oldest ticket is for POLTERGEIST II. I also have one for DANCES WITH WOLVES. Next is TANGO & CASH.
I have kept almost every movie ticket since I saw SO I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER.
I sneak into lots of flicks, though. Also, I haven't gotten tickets for some of my movies because they were group purchases and a couple idiot friends thought I was joking when I said I kept my movie tickets.

I've kept every single stub from the time I moved down here to Vancouver, which was April 2003. So the first ticket stub I have would be Identity from April 25, 2003, and then continuing, although there are a few I've misplaced, and I need to remember to put the stubs in the one place.

Yeah, started keeping every one of my tickets since 1993, Schindlers List was my first one. I give em ratings too, nothing flas, jsut you're standard 0 to 10... I was thinking of implementing a new ratings scale, something like 0 to 10 flying elbows or tombstone piledrivers, but I thought it's basically the same scale so why bother... Are you glad you just wasted your time reading this post, I'm glad you did, so let me say thankyou, you fool, you chump. Peace and love to you, oh now I'm just rambling...

Yup I save every ticket probably since the late 90's. Though there was a time when I worked at a theater in the early 00's so I didn't buy most of the tickets then. I keep them all in a Hook movie cup I got from Blockbuster when it was released on video way back.
Save concert tickets too.

i used to keep them in my wallet, then they started to fade.
I only keep ones from revival showings, for example- i have Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Pulp Fiction, Blue Velvet, El Topo, etc... then I put those in the dvd cases of the movies.
