Universal Home Video has officially announced Sydney White which stars Amanda Bynes, Sara Paxton, and Matt Long. The disc will be available to own from the 22nd January, and should retail at around $29.98. The film itself will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include deleted scenes, a gag reel, behind the scenes featurettes (Welcome to the Vortex, The Skooze, Sydney White and Her Prince, Kappa's Forever, The Original Dork: Rubix Cube, Meet the 7 Dorks) and the theatrical trailer. .

I wouldn't pick this up if it wasn't for Amanda Bynes, so I'll probably give it a rent.

Umm not to sound rude but yea, this is the DVD and Home theater discussions. I post different ones so the differents DVD's can be discussed in their own forums.

i worked on this flick, just as a college student for a day.. it was sweet, i sat 2 rows behind Amanda Bynes in one of the scenes... she is uber hot! (and seemed like a genuinely nice person)

i may just buy it, since i worked on it, but i havnt seen it yet... looked a little.. eh! Def a rent.. MAYBE a buy!

I agree to an extent as it seems to be done for ANY film, however insignificant or lame the film may be. I guess I could understand for more popular name releases of the year (i.e. Assassination of Jesse James, No Country For Old Men, Into the Wild, etc..) or releases that are due (i.e. Monster Squad and certain SE's). But how much discussion can there be on The Ghost Son or The Last Legion?
