so after having a very long talk about this movie over in the current movie section about how good this movie is or isnt i decided that a poll could help

Ridiculously stupid poll. This argument has gone on way too long. Die Hard has been a series of four very solid movies and Shoot 'Em Up is the lone film in the series, and is a very good fun movie. Your not going to prove each other wrong by making a poll. It's an opinion. Just because you like a movie and someone else doesn't, doesn't mean they are wrong for not liking it and that you need to prove them wrong.

It's not particularly good and it's sure as hell as isn't even a quater as great as Die Hard was!

That goes for ANY of the Die Hard movies. Not just the first one.

They are also rather pointless to compare since they are totally different kind of movies.

im not tring to prove anyone wrong i just want to be sure im not the only one who feels the way i do. this poll could turn out in shootem ups favor. and that would be fine. i understand its an opinion some people like to drink beer. i dont! but if you look at how much beer people drink in a year you would think that i might be in the minority on that one.

Shoot-em up is a solid action flick but no way near the greatness that is first Die Hard.

While jbar1026 knows where I stand (;)), I picked the last option - Shoot Em Up being no good, and Die Hard basically freakin' rockin!!

I liked Shoot 'Em Up and thought it was good, but it is fucking stupid to compare Shoot 'Em Up, which is mediocre at best, to Die Hard (or any of the sequels) the greatest Action film of all-time.

Yes, it's good but it doesn't beat Die Hard, although it's probably better than Live Free or Die Hard. It's strange comparing the quintessential action movie to an all-out parody of the genre.
