Another year, another box set of Pink Floyd reissues..

This box has cool artwork, and if you had nothing by them except say Dark Side, this would be a great way to get all of their shit. Most Floyd heads I know already have all the commercially released albums. So why don't the Floyd people throw us a bone and release a set of rare and unreleased tracks already??
Then I did some searching and found a great site that seems pretty comprehensive--and I realized, a lot of their unreleased stuff sucks. At least, a lot of what's out there. I wonder if their record company is sitting on stuff in the vaults, because I've read about a few things I can't find (the 'household objects' project that followed "Dark Side"; Waters' song "Bitter Love", written in response to the criticism the band took for letting their likeness be used in that booze ad, etc.).
A lot of the bootlegged stuff I'm getting, particularly from their soundtracking era (late 60's, early 70's, Zabrieskie Point, etc.) is cool but it has intolerable noise. I'm saying the record companies could release superior versions of this stuff, cleaned up with really spiffy artwork and make a fortune.
