It was a time when man and beast were untamed and the mighty mammoth roamed the earth. A time when ideas and beliefs were born that forever shaped mankind. 10,000 B.C. follows a young hunter (Steven Strait) on his quest to lead an army across a vast desert, battling saber tooth tigers and prehistoric predators as he unearths a lost civilization and attempts to rescue the woman he loves (Camilla Belle) from an evil warlord determined to possess her.

It's funny to see how women in those days already had perfectly shaved legs.

I've enjoyed all of Emmerich's other films so I'm hoping this'll be just as fun.

looks like a load of rubbish.

I don't get it; the movie's setting takes place during the "dawn of man" yet there seems to be a great deal of developed civilization present.

I don’t know though... It looks exciting but it also looks like a dumbed-down version of Apocalypto meant for the people who "can't read good" and need more action/less story. Whatever.

What was that reptile thing where it showed the eye and made a sound like a raptor? Man, if it's a dinosaur someone needs to give these people a geology lesson.

the ten commandments + 300 x jurasic park = shit

That isn't a raptor, if you pause it and go frame by frame it appears to be a large prehistoric bird similar to a Diatryma.

Sorry, paleontology dork.

I think it looks pretty impressive. Who cares if the story is lacking... although Spidey does have a good point about the legs. :)

Looks like a cliche story with some cool special effects. I might still check it out but it doesn't look that promising.

i was naming off other movies they ripped off during that trailer, it's going to be like watching eragon where half the scenes are exactly the same as lord of the rings.

saw the trailer yesterday, it looks like your typical emmerich movie. overabundance of special fx, bad story, worse acting, just a big hollywood bumblefuck spit out on the screen.

I agree, I have zero interest in this film. So was the English language that well developed 12,000 years ago? The sabertooth tiger looks pretty fake to me.

It's strange why people around the net repeatedly bring that point up when it comes to THIS film.

I mean it's not like EVERY SINGLE MOVIE EVER MADE DID THE EXACT SAME THING, with the exception of two movies made by Mel Gibson.

Exactly why I can't wait. Looks somewhat similar to Stargate, minus the science fiction storyline and present day characters. And I thoroughly enjoyed Stargate.

The language thing doesn't bother me; they speak English to avoid subtitles. Similar thing with Tom Cruise's new movie - it's about Nazis, but they're speaking in English.

That trailer was better than the first one and it got me a little more excited, well not necessarily more excited, more not thinking it looks terrible. But I think no matter how this film is marketed I still think its gonna end up being a Bomb.

Disregarding the blatant historical inaccuracies, it looks like it could be pretty fun. I've enjoyed Emmerich's movies, for the most part. This looks like it it'll be entertaining enough. I doubt I'll see it in theaters, but still.

Looks decent enough. The opening of the trailer says "journey to a world lost in time", so maybe it's not really intended to be historically accurate--almost more of a fantasy. Looks like a good popcorn movie. I won't go in expecting cinematic genius.

I'll rent this when it comes out on DVD. I'm not expecting anything out of it but it looks like it'll be fun to watch.

Looks like it will be a decent flick to see with a big crowd on opening night on the weekend that my spring break begins.
