Though he was originally born in Nigeria, I proudly consider him a kinsman. Unconventional yet accessible in the varied roles that he plays, and on top of that, a solid and talented personality in character and as himself. Plus he has a drop-dead sexy voice sometimes.
What say you?

Quite simply, the man. By far the best thing about The Matrix and he deserved some kind of award for what he pulled off in V For Vendetta...:D

hes made some real big bucks without being a household name or anything. most people could tell you by the look of him the movies hes been in, but not his name. hopefully he continues to collect good roles and gets a little more attention.

The guy came out of the Matrix franchise as the most memorable character, plus his work in LOTR and V for Vendetta give him an awesome resume.

Brilliant in The Matrix movies and even more brilliant as the title character in V for Vendetta. One of the most overlooked and underrated performances AND movies in, like, ever.

My absolute favorite actor.

Numerous times I've thought about who I could call my favorite actor, and time and time again, Hugo Weaving's name comes up, so instead of just bringing him up time and time again, I've just declared him my favorite actor.

He's absolutely amazing in everything he's in. I think it's a damn shame he's not won an Oscar. I thought his roll in V for Vendetta was worth at least a nod, if not the little golden statue of a dude itself.

In spite of being type cast lately, Hugo is one of the more versatile actors in the business today. Obviously, "V" is one of his most memorable performances, as are his roles in THE MATRIX and LORD OF THE RINGS trilogies and TRANSFORMERS, but he's stretched out beyond superheroes and fantasy characters, too. He has an unconventional cool about him that other actors don't. He gets a big YAY from me.
