So, 2007 is basically over with and 2008 is looking like it will be a pretty solid year for music as well.

Its really looking like 2008 will be a huge huge year for rap. With rumors that Dr Dre will be FINALLY releasing Detox and then there is the rumored Eminem album called The Funeral. Along with Big Boi, Nas, Q-Tip and Lil Wayne all releasing albums.

Here are my most anticipated:

1. Dr Dre - Detox
2. The Raconteurs
3. Blur
4. Portishead
5. Nas (supposedly the album is just called Nigger:eek:)
6. Eminem
7. Big Boi
8. Muse
9. Coldplay
10. Gnarles Barkley
11. Eagles of Death Metal

Well, there's a shock.

A few I KNOW are on the way (In no order):

Malcolm Middleton: Sleight of Heart (acoustic album)
Black Crowes: Warpaint
Goldfrapp: Seventh Tree
Portishead
Blood Red Shoes: Box of Secrets
Sons and Daughters: This Gift
Cat Power: Jukebox
Aimee Mann: Smilers
Cardigan: Best of; Limited Edition (for disc 2's rarities)

I'm hoping Annie gets round to a new one, and that Cannonball Jane, The Duke Spirit and Auf Der Maur get on with their second full length albums. I'm also impatiently awaiting the Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip album

The Mars Volta
Gnarls Barkley
My Bloody Valentine
Animal Collective
Jesus & Mary Chain
Metallica (Pretty much for a laugh, since St. Anger was the funniest album ever.)
Cryptopsy (I'm going in with caution though as Lord Worm is gone and they've replaced him with a shitty metalcore vocalist and hired a girl keyboardist.)
Deicide (Hopefully, they can match the awesomeness of their last album.)
Genghis Tron
Mastodon
Dr. Dre

Don't know how I forgot to mention this.....
but

Days of the New is supposed to release their first album in 7 years sometime in '08......we'll see about that considering Travis Meeks is still recording/working on it, but it looks more promising than ever.

Days of the New is a fucking sweet band. I like Tantric too, but not as much as DotN.

SkyNet

the best thing about Days Of The new was when i saw the lead singer dude on that show INTERVENTION (i think thats what its called)... the one where they confront people who are huge time drug users! He was a big time Crystal meth user (Meth head)... he had pissed all his $$ away and everything!

also didnt know Genghis Tron was comin out with a new Album... they are awesome

The Cure
My Morning Jacket

Z is one of the best albums I own.

The last Cure album was their best since Disintegration. I heard their is a song in here as old as The Head on the Door, plus Robert Smith mentioned it might be a double album!

Cant fucking wait.

Also I'd be really giddy if Bright Eyes released their new album this year. Im still holding out hope.
