Haha, silly girl. And he kept his professionalism and politeness all the way. :p
Besides, you could to a lot worse than being mistaken for Kevin Spacey. :D

HOW DO YOU FUCK THAT UP? how do you get an interview with an awesome guy like Cusack, and not even remember what movies he was in or wasnt in. Jesus, Kevin Spacey and John Cusack mistaken for each other, what is the world coming to.

She's lucky he's a decent fellow. Celebrities have trashed sets for less.

She's probably double-jointed.
Funniest. Response. Ever.

But yeah, this is pretty much #9,000 on the list of reasons why Cusack is one of the coolest guys in the biz. Totally nice guy.

I like how he pondered the reason for her talking about AMERICAN BEAUTY to him.
Then, he seemed to think for half a second "was I in that?" before he answered.

I love John Cusack.

It seems like it was a joke though. Like it was set up and the girl was in on it and done on purpose? I don't know... It just seems that way in my opinion.

its interesting that everyone is praising him being cool about it.

hes not Russell Crowe, hes not gonna throw a fucking phone or something, i highly doubt that many actors would get pissed off and throw a tantrum.

I'm pretty sure that the great majority of actors would take it with humor.

But with Cusack I just loved his reactions. His facial expressions and the changing tone of voice were prizeless. I also thought the way how he expressed that the interviewer was wrong, was really smooth.

Cusack came off as a genuinely charming and funny guy.

I should have watched it before reading everyone's posts first. While it was amusing, it was definitely overhyped by the posts.

It would've been funnier if she just stuck to that belief no matter what he said, like some wacky Jiminy Glick interview.

Nice, but it would have been better if Cusack had reacted the same way as Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas.

Airhead:...and it's so funny, because they're watching American Beauty today...

Cusack: Funny how? What's funny about it?

Airhead: Oh, wait, hee-hee. *snort* Maybe I've got it all wrong.

Cusack: Oh, oh, Anthony. She's a big girl, she knows what she said. What did ya say? Funny how?

Airhead: Jus...

Cusack: What?

Airhead: Just... ya know... it's funny.

Cusack: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little fucked up maybe, but it's funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to fuckin' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How is that funny?

Airhead: Just... you know, 'cause weren't you in it?

Cusack: No, no, I don't know, you said it. How do I know? You said that's funny. How the fuck is that funny, what the fuck is so funny about that? Tell me, tell me what's funny!

John is class, he could has reamed her a new acehole but instead he allowed her to continue to dig herself deeper and give her the old "who did you blow to land this gig?" look for the camera. Cheers John!
