The Dutchess teaser

This is a new historical drama from Paramount Vantage. It is "A chronicle of the life of 18th century aristocrat Georgiana, duchess of Devonshire, an ancestor of Princess Diana who was alternately celebrated and reviled for her extravagant political and personal lives." It stars Kiera Knightley as the dutchess in question, as well as Ralph Fiennes, among others. Here's the recently released teaser:

After Pride and Prejudice and even more so after Atonement, Knightley is an actress to keep an eye out for, and I will blindly go see anything Ralph Fiennes acts in, so that's two plus points. Also, it's an historical costume drama, which almost usually works. What are your thoughts?

Could go either way I guess. It looks pretty boring, but I will probably give it a watch when it comes out.

I think Knightley has been doing great work since Bend it Like Beckham myself. My favorite performance of hers was in the underrated Domino. She kicked ass in that movie.

And as for The Duchess, it looks pretty good.
