The new Indy flick. I'd like to be wrong though.

EDIT: Sorry for the multi-posts below. Something went all goofy as I was trying to post.

27 Dresses is actually pretty good. It's surprisingly very funny.

My picks:

First Sunday
In the Name of the King
Teeth
Meet the Spartans
Seed
How She Move
Step Up 2 the Streets
Fool's Gold
The Hottie and the Nottie
Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins
The Spiderwick Chronicles
Witless Protection

That's just through February. I'll do the rest of the year soon.

This is Steven Spielberg we are talking about. When has he ever disappointed?

Well, I actually didn't care for Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but other than that I've liked EVERY one of his movies.

It will NOT suck. I guarentee it.

At worst, it might turn out to be like Temple of Doom, which is not on the same level as Raiders of the Lost Ark or The Last Crusade, but it's still great fun.

If I know a movie will suck I won't go to see it.

ditto good sir. i don't like shelling out the cash for films i feel have a possibility of sucking. that being said though i work at an independent theater and now and again i'll go to a film i don't think i'd care for. so far most of the ones i have walked into i simply haven't heard any reviews for or have heard mixed reviews of (lust caution, paprika, what would jesus buy, the rape of europa, etc.) i might not have loved all of them but i haven't seen one there yet that i hated though, but its bound to happen soon.

our theater is playing JOE STRUMMER: THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN and i'd like to see it within the next few days (scorsese has an appearance) but i heard pretty bad things. i'd also like to see cloverfield, only if there are positive reviews out there but i'm not holding my breath about it being a masterpiece.

as for The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: i used to be of the mind that if indiana jones IV wasn't as good or better than the last crusade, i wouldn't want it to come out (how can you beat the finale that film had?) but lately i've been in ilovemovies state of mind, if it is at least on par with temple of doom, it'll still be a hell of a ride and a shit load better than most other adventure films that have been coming out. and above all i would have the experience of anticipating a new indiana jones movie (!) which is something new to me since i was only three when the last crusade came out and am a huuuge fan of the series. if all we are left with is a temple of the crystal skull, at least i'll have the fond memories of shitting my pants looking at the set pics/vids, the jizz of seeing Cate in her ruskie uniform and dominatrix hair, and the hard nipples (yea i said it) of seeing Ford looking better than ever in his first promo shot.

Step up 2 the Streets.

The story looks horrible, but the dancing scenes look pretty cool.

Step up 2 the Streets.

Saw that trailer before Sweeney Todd on X-mas.....I literally started banging my head against the back wall by about mid-way through. Who the fuck was begging for the sequel to that first piece of shit??

Anyways, I guess I'll have to say Dragonball....I'm there opening night for that trainwreck.

you do realize now that Jennifer Lopez has moved onto producing movies that there will be no shortage of these 'dance movies' any time soon :( and oddly enough she doesn't have anything to do with the movie 'How She Move' thats coming so she's not alone in that forefront.

I'm definitely seeing Dragonball, even though I have an idea what I'll be getting. Holding out more hope for Forbidden Kingdom.

One movie that I want to see badly is I Know Who Killed Me. I just can't muster enough will to netflix it or fork over any money for it, but one of these days...

without a doubt, "In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale" is going to be absolutely horrid! I have been anxiously waiting for over a year for this terdpile to be released. It is scheduled to be the finale of my next Crap-A-Thon! But I refuse to give Uwe Boll any money so I plan on buying a ticket for something else, maybe P.S. I Love You, lol!

I dont even get HOW it has hype.

They show us nothing, but everyone insists on going crazy over the movie.

but thats the thing, its cause they show us nothing is why ppl think that for some odd reason. I meen i'll admit that kind of advertising qwuirks my interest but thats about it.

Posession. It's a Sarah Michelle Gellar starring remake of the brilliant Korean film Addicted and I'll be seeing it purely to have license to write a REALLY nasty review.

Most everything I see over the next two months. What can I say? I love going to the theatre. And frankly, although I complain and bitch and yell and condemn, there's nothing better than a really, really, really awful film to whet my whistle. Fun, fun, fun! MST3K, anyone? Yes, please!

In the Name of the King, but I don't really think it's a "suck", since it'll most likely be hilariously bad. I really hope Cloverfield doesn't suck, but I feel I'm being set up for a letdown.

You are actually going to see these?

The only ones I can think of are Cloverfield and Untraceable

10,000 BC will probably tank.. It's on my list to see this year.

If one of my friends pays to see it, I'll see Cloverfield..

I'll probably see Jumper because my one of my friends said it "looks cool".. but we'll see.

Everything else, if it looks like it'll suck, I won't go.

I vote:

The Eye
The Hottie and the Nottie
27 Dresses

But, then again, since I, like most of you on the threads, are not the 'general' audience, these movies might actually be hits. Which I hope will not be the case. But, who knows, people seem to pay $10 for the dumbest shit in the theaters! Ahem...alvin & the chipmunks...Ahem!
