Ok if they remake the crow i suggest crow fans everywhere join in a SERIOUS boycott. With or without Jason Statham as eric draven(which is effin stupid) There is no goddamn need to ruin a great movie just because they can't come up with an orignal script idea. ok remake king kong(crap) i let it slide remake the hills have eyes(who gives a shit) then remake or should a say ruin Halloween and i got something to say, but the crow i just untouchable its kinda like remaking the godfather, ok bit of a stretch but you guys know what i mean right? So Who wants to boycott if the crap-tasrophe every actually sleezes its way on screen?

Where did you hear they were remaking it?

If it's true, I'll be pissed.

I found the article.

Dream on Statham. You'd be one of the worst possible choices for that role. This is one movie no one should ever touch. It's not even that old for crying out loud!

This would be pure blasphemy.

While I agree with the fact they shouldn't remake it.. fear not.. here's Stratham's IMDB page..

# The Brazilian Job (2009) (announced) .... Handsome Rob
# Crank 2: High Voltage (2009) (pre-production) .... Chev Chelios
# Death Race (2008) (post-production)
# The Bank Job (2008) (completed) .... Terry

He's booked solid for a while.

Executive 1 : Hey, any more movies we can remake?

Excuctive 2 : Hmm, The Crow?

Ex 1 : Wow. Let's do it, and shit on the Brandon Lee name even further by casting Vin Diesel in it.

Ex 1 and Ex 2 high five.

So would this officially move the bar up on how quickly after the original is released that a remake is acceptable?

Heads will roll if this happens.

Who cares? I mean honestly, it can't be any worse than any of it's sequels, which were pretty much (aside from Salvation), the same damn movie over and over again. Especially City of Angels.

Jason Statham sucks.

If this really is a re-make, wouldn't Statham have to play a rocker? I can't even come close to picturing that.

Yeah, this is true, but to remake the first film which is one of my favorite comic book adaptations, would be pointless. You know they're just going to make it worse by adding more CGI and a shitty lead. But I do care if they remake it.

Let's make one thing clear. We'll never get a better actor to fill the role of Eric Draven. Brandon Lee gave a great performance that I think will never be topped, unless they do a different Crow film with a female lead. To see somebody else try would be a complete waste of time, much like all the retarded sequels which I've never seen and wouldn't bother to because they're stupid.

^^I've thought about writing a treatment for that for a LONG time.

Came this close to directing an actual trailer for it in class too.

That's cool. I remember they made a comic with the concept, but I never read it. Maybe you should give it a try, it would surely be better than any of the sequels.

I almost wish they made Rob Zombie's Crow movie he had written.

i don't think he could have done much with it, he needs to stick t omore orginal stuff like 1000 Corpses, that was good stuff even with hte over the top acting.

I think they need to leave it the way it is out of respect for Brandon Lee.

I agree, they need to leave that movie alone. And Rob Zombie should never make or re-make a movie ever again. They have all been such a waste of time.

It was based around that one.
I just had this great visual of a painted white face. When she cries at seeing her lover killed, her mascara runs down her face - creating the Crow makeup.

"October 31, 2010. A young boy and his mother are murdered by a dark priest of the Fallen One...and exactly one year later the Crow returns the spirit of the slain child back to Earth to claim vengence. But unsure of himself, the boy forgets about his horrors. Twenty-seven years later, the boy is now a bounty hunter and finally sets foot on the road to reap the Crow's revenge."

His take on crow was atleast original.

Couldn't they just make another dumbass sequel. It would be a better idea than a remake of the original.
