whatever gets you press,ah sean?.
from perezhilton
Washed-up actress Sean Young was kicked out of the Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night for being a drunken fool, PerezHilton.com can exclusively reveal.
She was one hot mess!
The unemployed thespian "was obviously drunk and insisted on talking loudly throughout the ceremony," a source tells us. "At times, she was literally yelling during some of the winners' acceptance speeches."
No idea why she was there, but we're told she was seated at the same table as power couples Les Monves & Julie Chen and Steven Soderbergh & Jules Asner, who all tried to ignore her.
"When she wasn't yelling, Sean would stand up, put on her white fur coat and walk around her table and then retake her seat (while people were onstage accepting awards)," a shocked eyewitness recounts.
Adds another insider, "She also licked the neck of her date (some grey haired dude who looked like a lawyer-type guy), screamed in French at French actress Marion Cotillard, and when cutie pie Kristen Chenoweth belted out a few bars to a song (encouraged by Carl Reiner) Sean started singing too."
Bitch was in full-on meltdown mode!
But it was when nominee Julian Schnabel took the stage that she really lost it, yelling at him to "get on with it." He yelled back at her to "have another drink, Honey" and started to leave the stage before the crowd cheered for him not to leave.
That was the final straw for security and they came to her table and grabbed her by the arm, dragged her through the tables as she was stumbling in her white fur coat, took her to a backstage side door and kicked her ass to the curb.
She may be a hasbeen, but she still knows how to get people's attention!

This is actually quite sad to me. She used to be a fine actress, and not bad-looking too...:(

Poor Sean...ever since James Woods 'ruined' her career she hasn't been the same. Just another actor who made bad choices in role selections and they came back to bite her in the ass.
Time to retire this replicant.

According to a story on her in EW last year, in a nutshell, it described a movie the two of them made together (can't remember the name...but it's obviously not worth remembering), and just could not get along during the shoot. Afterward, it's been claimed that Woods went around Hollywood and started dragging her name through the mud and helped lead to her getting the difficult label. Soon she wasn't even able to get into auditions, so she started resorting to bizarre stunts like (like the one mentioned above) from then on, which has only poured more salt in the wound.
Of course, how much Woods actually had to do with her downfall remains in question. But reading the interview, she definitely comes across as her own worst enemy. But that incident certainly didn't help. Apparently she turned down the Glenne Headley role in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" to be in that movie. That there was obviously the first mistake (by then Headley would never have gotten her most famous role). Talk about the fickle finger of fame. : /
That's not the whole story, I don't think...but I hope you get the general idea.

A decent group of movie roles, nothing super spectacular but OH did I have a thing for her.
After the whole "Catwoman" thing, I started to think "this one's gonna be trouble".
This little routine doesn't shock me at all.
It definitely is sad though.
Too much Water of Life, maybe?

Really??? I can't say I've ever seen a performance from her that didn't fall between "wooden" and "horrible." The only thing she was ever decent in was Ace Ventura - and that's because she was a psycho.
She was terrible in Blade Runner (I can't believe anyone wouldn't know she was a robot), and gave probably the mother of all bad performances in that gem Fire Birds.

This EW article may offer some insight into her spotty career. I still can't pin it down, but I think the reason her star faded was due to a combination of unprofessional on-set behavior (at least, she royally pissed off a lot of people) and generally having such a bad reputation (deserved or not) that actors and filmmakers were relucant to work with her. She may be a wooden actress, but that wouldn't neccessarily derail her career--some would hire her based purely on her looks.
Not to scorn or judge her, but I think whatever career disappointments she may have had are partly her own fault at least, given the latest incident at the DGA awards. I'm still convinced that she could have done better if she tactfully played her cards. She was sitting at the same table with Steven Soderbergh. Julian Schnabel, director of the acclaimed Before Night Falls, was present, and I'm sure at least a few other respected directors were around (I confess to not having followed the awards). See what I mean? She had a perfect opportunity to network (and, yes, flirt) and seek out opportunities--surely she'd have a shot at something, somewhere. But she blew it all by not keeping her shit professional.

I think you mightve missed the point of Blade Runner. I thought she did superb, the only thing that could make her performance look bad was how perfect everything else in that movie was.
