Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting.

Before I go into this, I want to say how great of an actor Heath Ledger was becoming; was. He was finally getting to the point in his career where he could really start to choose on what roles he wanted to play; not too many actors get that shot.

So, after saying that, to give the man props......I have a theory.

It's bold/daring/likely not true....but I just wanted to put it out there.

What is Heath Ledgers death......is fake.
That's right, I'm saying what if Heath Ledger didn't really die. Here is my theory:

With all of the interviews Heath made about TDK before his death, he spoke many times on his preparation for the role of the Joker; how he had to become the Joker, writing daily journals finding things funny that no normal man would find funny. Things like sickness, AIDS, disease, murder, torture...just imagine what that would do to your mental health? It could take such a turn on it that you yourself may get warped into believing your own creation. This happened to Heath. He said thru interviews that phycologically it was really getting to him; that he couldn't sleep, his mind running a mile a minute; and not only for the role of the Joker but for another film he was filming at the time of his 'death.'

So with that being said, he transformed himself during filming of TDK to think like a psychopath. SO what if, in an amazing advertising campaign, he faked his death. With a few people still knowing of his true nature (Chris Nolan, select friends/family, a few VPs of WB) Anyone would come to realize having someone so popular die, would be devastating. People would morn, companies would profit, magazine would run specials; money and feelings both lost and gained over his death. Wouldn't that be something THE JOKER would find hilarious??? People thinking you're dead, money used to print for the funny papers, think of all the news, talk, etc you have head about his death?

I have a prediction that if he is really still alive, he is going to be in hiding till the opening for TDK. Then, SURPRISE???? Wasn't that SOOOOO funny? (Ad sadistic Joker laugh here)

We all know how seriously Heath took the role of the Joker. Maybe he took it so far that he planned one of his own diabolical schemes.

Then at the end, when people hate him for what he did....he says three simple lines....

Why so serious?

In today's day and world, this is possible; you just have to do it right, and with no holes. If you have anymore questions for me (cause I still have some others 'proofs' as to why this could work) leave a reply.

Thanks,
JOEIII

No.

That's just wrong, sadistic, and offensive on so many levels.

Considering all 50 states have laws against faking ones own death, and it'd be extremely stupid of them to do such a drastic move to hype a movie that's already enormously anticipated would just be wrong.

This thread needs to be locked, it's almost as offensive as it is stupid.

It's sick, and degrading to the master actor that was Ledger.

haha my friends and i also pondered the same thing a couple of days ago... jokingly, not seriously... cuz no offense.. but that is a Corky from Life Goes On stupid idea!

and as was already said: Faking your death is crucially illegal and so if he did fake his death... he would have to be in hiding for more than 7 years to allow the Statute of limitations run out!!

This is ridiculous.

No offense Huttjos, but your 'idea' is going to offend and piss off a lot of people here, and the thread will go straight to hell. I understand you want to discuss your theories, but not here.. not now.

Sorry. Thread closed.
