Worst DVD cover art

I'm sure this is old and you've all seen this, but I don't look at DVD cover art for DVDs I already own. However, after the recent Starship Troopers 3 trailer, I was reading up on the original when I came across the DVD box. Now, I bought this dvd years and years ago, when the cover looked like this:

I'm in utter shock.. that is quite possibly the worst dvd cover I've ever seen. I couldn't believe that for such a well known movie, the cover art came to THAT. The designers must have just given up and put thatout there... which got me interested. Whats the worst DVD covers you guys have ever seen?

Almost every movie ends up with some incredibly shitty artwork that looks like it was made on adobe photoshop or something, and it's not even the bad, cheap movies, either. It can be really good ones like:

However, there is one case I can think of where the Canadian DVD art was complete and utter bullshit compared the the American release, and that's Good Night and Good Luck.

It looks like they took a picture from Ocean's 12 to try to fool people that Clooney had a big part in it and he charmed all the ladies, while Stratharin, pictured much smaller here, I dunno, read the news or something. And there are these two horizontal "rips" across the cover, I have no idea what that's all about, they're supposed to be containing names of black-listed people but if you actually read the names you'll find that many of the same ones are repeated over and over again. What the fuck?

Seriously, Canada. You dropped the ball on this one. You dropped the ball.


Oh, and the new Kubrick Collection...the DVDs in the actual box set, not the individual special editions of the films- their art was different- just sucked. I loved the special features and everything, but there's no getting around how dissapointing the cover art was.

I lucked out. I found the 2 disc at wallmart in the 5 dollar bin. Yeah I believe its OOP so I snatched it for 5 bucks.:D
