For my bootleg of the theatrical version:

Someone else made most of it, and then customed it with a few little things.

Very nice cover, still need to find the time to watch your edit though.
I don't use any custom covers for my DVD's, I've tried making my own for fun a couple of times but they've never ended up being any good.

Thanks a lot. If you, or anyone else, would rather download the DVD video_ts file, tell me. Someone was nice enough to author the DVD for "Full Circle" since I don't know the first thing about it.

Godammit, I'm sorry for hijacking this thread, tyler. I'd put all this shit elsewhere, but . . . there really isn't anywhere to put it on JoBlo.
Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUhQu1uGnJU)'s the trailer for the fan-edit. And here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFMHKv5qSFs)'s a promo. There are instructions for downloading the full 200 minute long, 4GB MPG file in the promo video info. If anyone is interested in downloading the Video_TS file, PM me so I can give you the RapidShare links.

I miss dvdcoverart.com. They had GREAT ones. But they got sued by pretty much every film studio there was, so yeah.
I had these
Batman 89 (These two were matching and were exactly the same as the 4-disc boxset artwork)
Batman Returns
One Hour Photo (made to look like the envelope you get photos in at the drugstore)
Matrix (green fountain-y image)
Matrix Revolutions (worst cover art EVER?) (just used the Neo image instead of the four crappy ones snamshed together)
Army of Darkness (the 'buff ash' poster work)
The Others (kidman holding acandle, much creepier)
Blade 1 & 2 (just cooler work)
Adaptation (made to look like the script for adaptation, paper clips and coffee stains included!)
Beetlejuice (the name beetlejuice)
Identity (the superior "hand' artwork, as opposed to the floating head syndrome)
UnfortunatelyI cant post them as they no longer exist.
The reason for most of this is that I moved the DVD over from the snapper case to a real case, and needed some nifty cover art.

I miss dvdcoverart.com. They had GREAT ones. But they got sued by pretty much every film studio there was, so yeah.
Agreed. DVDCoverArt was one of my favorite sites. The thing about that site was, it challenged me to make my covers better to fit their (very tough) standards. And I liked that. The credit system was fantastic too, in my opinion. By submitting covers, I saved up credits to download other awesome covers. Unfortunately, I saved my credits thinking to use them later and the site went down :(
I had a few covers up there...I don't remember exactly which ones but I'm pretty sure I had my Malena, Cruel Intentions, and Ocean's 11 covers up there...don't remember which others I had.
They weren't on the level that some of these are, mind you (I only started learning to use textures and brushes towards the end and the covers I did with them weren't too great) but they were fun to make. I haven't made any dvd covers since high school as once DVDCoverArt went down and the "fake criterion" thread here died out, I lost a bunch of interest. I may try to do some this summer though and get my working on my skills again.
One of the things that frustrated me most at the time was the inability to find any high-resolution artwork to use. Which meant, some of my ideas for covers I couldn't do as most of the images I found were only large enough to be used for like half of a front or back of a dvd cover (keeping in mind that the resolution of a DVD cover is pretty big compared with images you can find online). Oh well.
Anyway, here are a few below...I posted these a long time ago in the fake criterion art thread (which lasted impressively over a 2 year span) linked here: http://joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65188&highlight=criterion but they're mostly buried in the thread somewhere. The Eternal Sunshine one wasn't finished, it was one of the last ones I was working on (and the Special Features listed are not the correct ones as I started working on it before the dvd features were announced).

I wish there was a web site to download those or something. (Jonathan 1605, those are amazing)

I mostly Mixed pictures in with the original covers, and used parts from other Cutom covers.

It looks better in full size. Here: http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/7466/sincitywv6.jpg
I didn't make every little part, I circled the parts I didn't make, mostly the Synopsis, Special Features, and Credits, I only moved them around.
