Wasn't a huge fan of the original, but picked it up on DVD for about 3.99 since I found a few parts enjoyable. Now I'm considering getting the HD DC version for about $9.00.
Question is, is it worth it? Or would I be better off sticking with the regular?

good question, how much better? do the new scenes add much to the story and give it a whole new dimension a la the kingdom of heaven director's cut?

I am a big fan of Troy, and yes, the directors cut adds more depth, more insight to some of the characters somewhat, and much much better fighting. Ive gotten 2 friends whom i went to see it with in theaters, and thought it was average, to watch the DC and they really liked the movie after watching it the way it was supposed to be.

Even though I didn't like Troy that much I've been pretty interested in this for a while, might see if I can get it pretty cheap, definitely sounds like I'll like it more.

Ended up getting it this evening, and about to give it a watch. At 196 minutes it better be damned good.
