i bought Hitman... shit was $23 bucks for the 2 disc set.. now on the second disc was just the stupid ass digital copy.. the first disc had asll the special features... but the single disc releases didnt have any of those special features, you HAD to buy the 2 Disc Set in order to get the 1 Disc with both Movies & Extras!

This of course shows that 20th Century Fox sucks big ass donkey balls and should blow me.

But my question here is (i guess i went on a little rant there)... doi any of you all actually use these Digital Copy's of these flicks??

I use a program i have that just converts the movies to ipod format, so i can have them all on my ipod. I dont give a fuck about these stupid downloads, and was just wondering what the masses thought, if they are a good thing to include??

Yes, because Handbrake fucking hated Windows Vista and I can't get it to work with it. So I buy a movie and it included a digital copy that I can put on my itouch and I am fucking stoked because how many times have you been in a line or someplace bored out of your mind and hell you got your ipod on you and its wonderful.

I used it on black friday waiting for the sales, its not the greatest way to watch movies but it works wonders in a pinch.

So yes I would like to see more Ipod versions included with the regular dvds.

i bought the Live Free or Die Hard that had the digital copy included, and was bummed that it doesn't work with my Zune, but it did state on the card it wouldn't work with all protable media devices . i just converted it and all is good....

i also bought the Hitman (on Blu-Ray) and it also has the second disc with the digital copy, again it didn't work with my Zune even though it states that it will work with any portable media device . however, there was an option with this particular one for iPod/iTunes so there was no need to convert if you have this device....

after all that, i guess i'm neutral on the subject of the digital copies if publishers don't charge extra for it . i bought the "special edition" of both of these movies because i wanted the extras and this happened to come with it, so bonus for me....

most consumers will buy the "special editions" because they want the extra features and will thus pay for them, otherwise they buy the bare-bones . so maybe what you need to think about is did you buy the 2-disc Hitman because you wanted the features that were included, or not? most likely yes, if not then the 1-disc should've been the choice

I don't have a problem with dgital copies. If the companies are going to bust balls about copyrights, I think it's righteous of them to provide like that.

My problem with what happened to Skynet is in just making customers choose between saving money and getting a good DVD treatment of a film. If they want us to pay for their movies, they shouldn't hope that we shell out money in the theater, then shell out money for the video, then extra money if we want them to use DVD media to its full potential. It's still being greedy.

At the same time, though - $19.99-$23.99 for a DVD is pretty good when you consider that VHS titles used to cost around the same price. It's still more profitable for distributors to go DVD because of the ease, so they are still being greedy, but it's kind of fair.

I just wish they wouldn't release so many versions of a film. It seems wasteful.

I really don't care for it. If i had a ipod i probaly would like it but i don't. I hope they get away with the top line on the box saying Digtal Copy i hate that.
