Most of the WWII movies we all know and love (mainly from Hollywood) are all about the Americans and occasional Brit kicking ass in Western Europe. But contrary to popular opinion, there were in fact other fronts on that war. So what y'all like that isn't primarily Western Allies vs. Nazis?

Eastern Front:
Cross of Iron

North Africa:
Patton

Mediterranean:
Von Ryan's Express
Patton (x2, invasion of Sicily)
The Guns of the Navarone

Pacific/the war against Japan:
The Bridge on the River Kwai
Empire of the Sun

Other:
The Pianist (Poland)

I really enjoyed Letters from Iwo Jima; it's not my favorite war movie, but it's still a kickass movie told from the POV of the Japanese.

El Alamein is an italian WWII movie about the italian army stationed in northern africa battling against the american and british army. Also the academy award nominee for best foreign film from last year Days of Glory about citizens from Morocco chosen by the french army to join their army and fight against the nazis. And also the film Catch 22 that takes place in the mediterranean in WWII.

Empire Of The Sun, truly Steven Spielberg's masterpiece that featured the amazing Christian Bale in his first starring role at age 13! He shoulda won an Oscar!
