Uwe Boll is considered to be a pariah on the filmmaking community by many, but his ability to film after film into production with mid-level stars attached has to be admired. His current slate includes, Seed, Postal, Tunnel Rats, FarCry, Sabotage 1943 and producing duties on Zombie Massacre and Alone in the Dark 2.
Today news comes directly from Boll himself that Bloodrayne 3 is happening in 2009. Boll says that he will not be directing the film, but that he does plan on making it. He also plans to set the film in WWII, where the videogame took place.
The First Bloodrayne feature met with mixed results due to distribution problems with upstart company, Romar. The second film went direct-to-DVD. It is expected that the third will do the same.
no word yet if Natassia Malthe will be bloodrayne again.
