Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. THE DEPARTED scribe William Monahan has a new flick in the works at Paramount that sounds pretty great. It's based on a true-life story about a drug dealer who opts to go undercover at an asylum for the criminally insane instead of serving his 10-to-life sentence. The purpose is to cozy up to a serial killer in order to get him to divulge the location of his 25 victims. Only the prison psychiatrist knew he was undercover.

Like I said, this is a true story and there's going to be a big story about it in Playboy later in the year.

Sounds interesting. Dicaprio would probably steer clear of something involving "undercover" so soon after The Departed (yikes...excuse the the grammar...). Roth sounds cool. Guy Pearce. How bout him?

By the by, Playboy has perhaps the best interviews in print. Ever.

Anyone ever read The Coen Bros. interview around the release of Man Who Wasn't There where they spoil Dancer In The Dark? It's perhaps the only time I laughed at hearing a movie I really liked being both trashed and spoiled at the same time.
