Although it doesn't come near the brilliance of Training Day which was the best or second best film of 2001, Harsh Times was definitely a solid flick IMO. Very entertaining.

I would have turned it off and never looked back if it wasn't for two things:

1. people here seemed to really like it.

2. Christian Bale.

Hate to say it, but neither one of those two reasons are justification for wasting your life with such drivel. I'd rather watch EPIC MOV--- I mean - I'd rather watch any number of other horrible movies than subject myself to this mess again.

The movie had great potential and as usual Christian Bale gave a great performance but the script and especially the dialouge were horrible.

lol... Bale's wannabe-Homie accent was too fucking funny. I'm sorry, I live in LA, I see people like Bale's character, but it was just unbelievable. I couldn't sit through this movie. It's the only time I ever laughed at Bale's acting. Seriously, holmes, like for real, dog.

I'm an up and coming critic as well. I can recommend SO MANY movies. Next on everyone's list should be: SHARK ATTACK 3. It is excellent movie I love. Evyone should see, it so scary because its about big shark and it ets peeple.
One time in it a man drives a minisub and has to drive it while saving explosion from box of bombs under water. He made orgasm sounds over and over again! It was sooo scary and funny at once!

Such subject headings usually introduce us to youtube links, and hilarity would ensue. I've heard both sides of the opinion scale as far as Harsh Times is concerned. Even being the fan of Bale that I am, I wouldn't consider myself in a hurry to buy it.

ur movie knowledge impresses me greatly!!!!ASH WEDNSDAY is with elijah woods...i did not know they made an earlier 1..... but the movie is really good when u watch it the first time.. its not somthin too see again in a hurry but its good as a recomondation if u havnt seen a good movie plot in a while...... u should see this film i do think its worth the time..

Seriously, anybody could recommend viewing movies to watch. But how many are out there telling us what movies will help us score! Maybe roofies isn't PC enough of a title, but I have never been one to shy away from being too real.

Everytime I open a thread from Mr.Moviemaster I feel like a pie is going to hit me in the face.

Harsh Times was alright (6/10) it did get sort of boring but there was enough action and good script to keep me watching till the end. Bale's "accent" may not have been the best but his performance was great, watching him turn into this demented war vet.
